What makes Aurora's cover of Good Is A Woman really impressive is the circumstances of how it came to be. P3 Live is a radio show and the artists do an interview and get to sing one of their own song and do a cover, but they do not know in advance what song they will be covering and only get to know that less than an hour before they go on live. In that time the artist has to make an arrangement, memories the lyric as much as possible and rehearse a couple of time, and then they go on live. Aurora has covered Wrecking Ball, Believer, God Is A Woman and Det Hev Ei Rose Sprunge (a German Christmas song form 1599 sung in Norwegian) on P3 Live, and you can see she has notes in front of her with the lyrics.

As the fans of Aurora like to say, welcome to the Queendom. Speaking of which, the official VEVO video of Queendom is pure rocket fuel. She has said that when she first started performing on stage, she was terrified. She would sing with her eyes closed so she wouldn't see the people. Once she was in the song, she was immersed in the song and was fine. For a time, she was unaware that, although she remained still at the microphone, her hands were in constant movement. She said that the energy that always courses through her during a song had to go somewhere. Over the years, she has become comfortable on stage, with ever-growing crowds of people. And she moves, dances...she is a very light and energetic being, both physically and mentally. As you will discover if you delve into her music, some of it was written when she was as young as 9 years old. She is a very keen observer of human nature, and is so able to name what we go through and, through her music and lyrics, find what saddens us, bring it out from where we have hidden it, make us cry, and bring us to the other side. She has actually indicated that she has come to realize this is her purpose in life - to help others find and work through what holds us back, doing this through music.

Thank you for a wonderful Aurora reaction and a reaction concept I have not encountered before, but like a lot! Please react and score Auroras songs Soft Universe and Little Boy In The Grass, both live in Nidarosdomen. These two songs are of course her original songs, she write the lyrics and the music herself. They way Aurora create energy and distributes it to everything around her is out of this world, and the way she makes it ebb and flow and dance for her is breathtaking. To me it looks like she is directing the choir, even thought they stand behind her.

I’m three years late seeing this, but I’ll make a couple suggestions anyway, hope you see them. Two songs performed in the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize concert: “Runaway” and “Murder Song {5,4,3,2,1]”. The performances really showcase her stage presence. Her body language is obvious, not to mention her musicianship, but watch her eyes! Notice that she performs barefoot. She performed for the COP26 (in Glasgow, I think). She performed eight songs, and the video is “chaptered” so you can isolate each song. Not to give too much away, but watch how she interacts with her audience, and manages “glitches”, one in "Infections of a Different Kind” and one in “Warrior” (amusing, actually). Not obvious until the end, but she’s barefoot here, too.

Nice reaction, Aurora makes her own haircut style, dresses, bijous and so on with the help of her 2 older sister's. “I buzz it myself,” she shares happily, a task made all the easier by the discerning eye of her resident makeup artist sister, who is on hand for cleaning up the back. These regular quick undercut trims are her only pre-show requisite beauty ritual. Providing an immediate boost of confidence-“I feel more beautiful when it’s freshly shaved,” she says-the clean cuts also give her head a welcome breeze, liberation of weight, and all but ensure that her hair won’t get in front of her eyes mid-performance. A stash of bobby pins is always on hand to keep her remaining lengths pulled back. “I’m constantly trying to find new ways to get my hair out of my face,” she says of her repertoire of twists and topknots." Next video of Aurora i recomend is Through The Eyes Of a Child (Live at Nidarosdomen). Here's the link: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pMl3bN2F39nNo3k.html Thanks ;-)

I think she is a woman with a highly sensitive emotional character and, so I've read, these expressive arm and general upper body movements are typical of this nature. I have a picture of my grandson singing like this aged 3 (but he's wildly enthusiastic with not much finesse!) and he's of a similar emotional type. I don't think she is conducting, I think she just can't stop herself doing it! I love the hint of panic as she tries to get back to the keyboard in time. So glad somebody else noticed this! Two of her earlier songs you might like would be "Runaway" (I get major league tingles from this one) and "Running with the wolves" where she howls quite adorably!
