Is there any other availability to install this without using the odb2 port? That's the only thing I don't like

you'd have to wire it in just like you would with older superduties, power ground door switch ect. amp does make an ob2 splitter as well so you have access to 2 ports. it worked for my friend for the boards and a tuner. cheap ones of amazon ect don't work though.

@Justin Francis oh alright. Yeah in my thoughts I'd rather it hard wired for a cleaner look as if it was factory. That's why I asked. I been wanted a set of these for ever. Running boards just take up so much clearance underneath but I can't not have running boards. Saves your seats from getting torn up and easy to get in the truck.

Be better to drill a small hole, add a grommet and run the light wires through the metal and not so tightly below it. Thats a chafing nightmare.

Guys, seriously: stop using impact wrenches to tighten nuts and bolts. Removing bolts and nuts with impact wrench: great idea, saves time. Tightening nuts and bolts with an impact wrench: awful idea, you're over-torquing everything.

This is too funny. You obviously dont spend a whole lot of time in a shop to know just how much time and profanity power tools save you.

I've been doing it for years. I never strip any bolts. If you know how to use a tool you wont.. simple as that
