A much more interesting route to Dundee from Perth than simply driving along the dual carriageway for 20 minutes that runs parallel with the River Tay. I had often heard of Coupar Angus and Blairgowrie but couldn't possibly tell you anything about them, but it's nice to be able to picture what a place looks like now.

Great video again. Is there any chance of doing the number 11 service from Kilmarnock to Ardrossan, Chapelhill Mount? I used to drive this route when I worked for Stagecoach in Kilmarnock. Would be a great nostalgia trip 😊.

This time is focusing on Eastern Scotland, but will definitely do some around West Scotland in the future. Besides of 11, any suggestions from you which worth a ride?😄

@@EurasiaTransportExplorer There are not very many decker services around Kilmarnock other than the 11 and the X76, most are single-decker services. The 4 from Ayr to Glasgow is an interesting service as it doesn't use the M77 from Kilmarnock to Glasgow, but that is a single-decker route too. The X36 from Ardrossan to Glasgow is a decker service, or at least it used to be. Maybe some First Glasgow inner city services would be good to do, howerver, I am not familiar with First Glasgow's network, other than the 1 network from Glasgow to Balloch/Dumbarton/Helensburgh, but that is also a single decker service.😊

You can tell when the driver is using the electric motor because you can hear the humming noise of the electric instead of the normal noise of the diesel engine. But of course you have both on this bus with it being a hybrid.

Lucky you, got a nice sunny Spring day on the East Coast of Scotland for your bus journey. Tayside can often look beautiful. Dundee, Scotland's 4th largest city. However Perth is considerably smaller but no less beautiful often referred to as the Fair City of Perth or St John's Town (why the local football club is known as St Johnstone).

@@EurasiaTransportExplorer terrific! meanwhile, I've just done some overseas digging, and learned that both those routes have been mightily clawed back. Shaftesbury is linked only so far as Blandford Forum nowadays, and Wilts & Dorset's "Damory 7" offers six trips either way weekdays. Bridgwater westward is sketchy: First Bus Somerset division's "14" supposedly runs once per weekday (P.M.), whereas their "15" continues onward to Minehead similarly infrequent...oof!
