I was born to a mother who didn't even like kids. No emotional connection, no love showed, unless around other family members for show. I can relate to what he's saying and I feel that's why I had attachments from an ealry age that in my teens became more of an oppression where I was attacked and harrassed. Now at 50 the attacks have started again and for the 1st time in front of someone else..my 5year old Autistic Grandson. Who also has a mother like my own. So I've been raising him. I have never had such an attack like this ever, so diabolical. Please pray for me. I sent a message to Ft. Rippenger and his group, please pray they answer. ✝️🙏🙏🙏

Could your mother be autistic? I'm glad you have not inherited and do not have behaviors like she did.

Thank you Father. PenanceWare one decade said. I thought this was going to be about attachment to material stuff. Never noticed how newchurch is stuck in the '60s - dress, music, rainbows, social work.

The talk is about material stuff. Mental stuff tends to become material stuff: the job, the car, the suitable girlf, boyf, the right friends, education, etc., all of which start as mental stuff, desires...

Stuck in the 60"s !. Now I see why some older people like the Sixties Mass - it's like listening to oldies! Dancin in the street, doo wap doo wap. Good vibrations. Peace and love Father.

I think grandparents were an essential component in my childhood and they helped with moral formation. I still did suffer well. I fear I can’t give my son the same moral formation.

My thoughts are frequent confession, grace, some resolve and an astute confessor are a great remedy for breaking unhealthy attachments. Awesome podcast!

Fr. Ripperger, this is sad yet wonderful news. One knows something is wrong but cannot name it because of never knowing normalcy. How can a traumatized person compare to normalcy having never known it. I heard Fr. Michel Rodrigue say that children who have been sexually molested need "deliverance." Listening to you today, it all makes sense! This news can bring a lot of healing to hurting souls. If you call out the sin which isn't always obvious to the person who suffered trauma, it can bring a source of much needed relief in the Catholic faith. This is an area where Catholic priests can provide healing in a moment of grace.

If it were not for the grace of God literally, no matter how hard you try you can't do anything, problem is we don't believe in God anymore to help us but in our own strength, for me, that was part of my enlightenment process by the grace of God

Father, you've answered a question I've had for some time. Everywhere nowadays, one hears parents talking to their extremely verbal but way-too-immature young children as if the child were the authority, not the adult! I've had a strong impression that in children who grow up in daycare, something is developing in an out-of-order fashion.

Watch Ripperger's vid on mass murderers with big guns in USA--can't recall which vid it is--but all of the murderers went to daycare when young...

Jesuits said until the age of twelve? Really? Lenin said, "Give me a child for the first five years of his life and he is mine forever." That is more chilling than what the Jesuits say.
@anng.4542
@anng.4542 6 жыл бұрын
Marie with an E: I think the Jesuits were talking about moral and character development. Lenin was talking about raising "the new Soviet man"... deforming a child's values by teaching Marxist lies (which, of course, Lenin believed in).

I would love to know if any studies have been done on Kibbutznic children who were separated very early on from their parents and brought up to be more of the community than of the family..As for the "guitar masses" - they think they are so hip..News flash- people my age and younger think they are so lame as to be embarrassing to watch..

What is he saying about "injustice collectors"? 11:50 I can't make it out.
@i-4271
@i-4271 6 жыл бұрын
If trauma happens after they're 14 and they don't accept the suffering, they may become mentally obsessed with pointing out personal wrongs and injustices (that's what "injustice collectors" mean). Example given, listen to a 50 yo adult that is still complaining about X and Y in his teen years or whatever... If you liked my description may you just pray 3 Hail Marys for my studies? :)

Burlap vestments from the 60's?
@anng.4542
@anng.4542 6 жыл бұрын
Joe Haaf: No. Like poster Sancte Alphonse wrote, burlap vestments. For the sake of appearing hip and cool, there was a push during the 1960s and '70s to stop using the beautiful fabrics, materials, church art and furnishings, all traditionally meant to give glory to God. They foolishly thought a hippie look would attract the Woodstock generation back to God.
