The Pythagorean theorem is so worth learning. It's not hard and is applicable to various situations where right angles are a necessity. I used this tactic in the garden and finally had perfectly parallel rows. It's also very important in tile layout. Why not do a video on this topic,, something we all should have learned In highschool....

I have a question i hope you can answer. I am replacing my basement stairs which were built in the early 60's. I have total rise of 98 inches, total run of 112 inches for approximately 41° angle. There are 11 treads plus the floor surface for a total of 12 steps with 10 inch treads and approximately 8.25 risers. I want to go to 7 inch risers with 10 inch treads to give me 13 steps plus the floor surface to make a total of 14 steps. Can i safely do this with the rise and run that i have mentioned? Will it work with the 41° stringer angle?

I'm too dumb for this. Plus we are using cm not inches. Goshh
