Liner Notes: This video was initially and instantly blocked when I uploaded it in 2017. But at some point, KZfaq decided to unblock it (but didn't notify me). I just noticed this, and have now made this video public. Enjoy Stairway! The tour dates at the end are outdated, but I'm glad this is finally available on my KZfaq channel.
Liner Notes from 2017: We wouldn't be denied! Jeff and I have been doing this one live for a little while, so I'm glad we finally got it recorded. He recorded his part at my house when he was in town (Denver) recently, but we recorded our parts at different times (thus, the split screen). I hope you like our rendition.

Only one that compares IMO is Lexington Lab Band's cover IMO, but the fact 2 guys can play this and compare to a large tribute/cover band says a lot about Mike and Jeff

Check him out back in his pizza parlor days when he covered Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For by U2. It brought tears to my eyes. His cover of Africa by Toto did as well. The guy is amazing.

I can't stop watching Jeff play that flute line at the beginning. It's so simple, but most bass players I know wouldn't have never thought to do that. They would have just waited for the John Paul Jones stuff to play.

my dad has always been a fan of mike masse. went to a bunch of his cover concert thingos and even got him to say happy birthday to me on my birthday when i was younger. safe to say hes always kinda been apart of our family (music wise bahahah)

Agreed, except Mr. Masse improves upon most of the original art. Check out his version of 'Nights in White Satin' for high notes that will send shivers up/down your spine.

This is the best cover of this song ever and probably one of the best covers of any song ever. Mike's vocals and acoustic playing are incredible and Jeff was brilliant on bass.Thes would be as good or better than the original if it had the electric solo. I never thought anyone could do this song so good. Definitely 10 outa 10

I guess this one's perfection as-is. The solo part is held together by the bass, that's really unique, they managed to really keep it acoustic. It's at the same time faithful to the original but different. Genius.

I am very critical when it's about Stairway to Heaven, almost everyone plays it wrong, but you did it very, very well, and you even did it on acoustic guitars! The bass fits perfectly as well. These guys just absolutely blew me away! Mike Masse's vocals and guitar is a masterstroke of perfection and I am absolutely riveted by Jeff Hall's bass performance! It's truly a rare treat for me to see such rich nuance coming from the bass. I could feel the heart and soul interwoven with that instrument and his playing. Fucking beautiful!

Mike, you are without question one of the most talented vocalists out there. Jeff is a fantastic musician and harmonises so beautifully when required. You two produce absolute magic together. The tone of the acoustic guitar is simply magnificent and Jeff’s bass playing is so pleasing to the ear.
