You mean the cam? The clutch doesn't give a hoot what you do until you burn it up, watch a video of someone driving a car with a stock or factory cam and then a really hot cam and you'll see that bigger cams sound "good" at idle (the engine actually is running bad but we like that sound 🙃) well i should say most cars like that toyota for example have a street cam. Makes good power basically from idle all the way up. The Ferrari has more cylinders but still has potential to rev to 8-9 grand which means it won't want to idle well or launch good without more throttle

I would be pretty disappointed if the clutch failed from this. Not a typical clutch and also it's a street legal race car. Also the clutch isn't the reason it wants to stall, at least not the main reason. The cam is, that engine wants to rev up but he's being too gentle. I guarantee if he gave it more gas and held it for a second after letting the clutch go he would've been fine.

I dunno who needs to read this, but if you ever find yourself in the situation of needing to shuttle around a car with an unfamiliar race clutch: if you feel the rpms chug like you're about to stall clutch in quickly and return to neutral but if the stall actually happens clutch out for a 5 -10 seconds with the engine off and make sure you let off the clutch because sometimes we just hold it down by habit. After that moment start it back up with no clutch engaged in neutral and let the engine run for about 10-20 seconds before trying to engage the clutch again. It's easy to rush but if you're shuttling a car or at a show with your racecar it's OK to let your clutch cool off if you stall. It's easy to be embarrassed that you stalled, but If the clutch is overheating and the engagement point is moving why beat yourself up in the moment and do more damage? This is the way I was taught how to shuttle classics, my Shopmaster told me "just a few moments will do, take the time to think about your actions or pick a God to pray to - whichever you prefer"
