SA47 sounds a little more congested I think in 400hz range. u47 sounds more open and less congested in that range

I own a mki and my friend just received a new mkiii. The difference is profound we both are liking the mki better. Without taking them apart I have no idea the differences. Both mics sound nice but there is something special about the mki.

@Stam Audio ...The quality of Singing here is excellent However you need to Show the 'Exact' Same part of the Song back to back on both mic's! this is crucial. with hopefully no more 30-45Sec on each mic before Switching to the other mic do this switching 3 or four times for each singer ..then the other recommendation is to do this but not on just one voice add a Baritone, Tenor, Alto & soprano, Male singers. then follow that with as many female singers in the same vein. this is what will actually give a Listening singers in the market for a New or even 1st Mic the strong confidence to say - this sounds like a mic that will or will not be the best option for my voice - & that is the main thing that will have them Pull the trigger on one of these pricier clones vs just sticking to lower budget clones which are even more accessible at low prices in the 2nd hand market too . Do what I've motioned for all of your mic range eventually & it will be the most effective thing you do this year to increase your sales figures Stam.

whats the differences between mk1, 2 and 3 in regards to the frequency spectrum?

The last two are the same, just aesthetical changes. With every revision I try to get a little closer to the original sound. The first one had more low end than the original which I loved but I guess the priority it's to preserve the legendary sound.

sounds good, dont know the price but there are big differences, the U47 sounds more round, velvety and natural, the SA sounds sharper and thiner with less depth, just my thought

The frequency response chart shows that there are no differences between these two microphones. I ran detailed spectrum analysis and several sweeps between them and tweaked it until they were the same (within 0.3dB tolerance).

I agree, at least from the video here the Neumann sound way better, as you said less harsh and more rounded.

@@AreaNeraTV The Neumann is actually a little brighter on this take (0.3dB) something I would love the SA-47 to have, it's meticulous work to nail that frequency. The SA-47 is less harsh on both 4k and 8k. Go figure.
