Recent Update by DETE- Effective from 30 November 2023, applicants for a Stamp 4 immigration permission will no longer be required to obtain a letter of support from the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (DETE). Stamp 4 applications and checks will be handled entirely by the Department of Justice.

Documents required-
1. Employment Summary for the previous years.
2. Last 3 months salary slips
3. Letter from the employer
4. Medical insurance
5. Digital signature
6. Current IRP copy front and back
7. Passport front and back
8. Proof of address- Electricity bill / Rental Agreement.
9. Employment permit
Note: If you have applied before 30th November 2023 you need support letter from DETE with above documents.

Hi, as per recent update by DETE- you don’t need support letter anymore. Rest everything is same.

Hey girlie, i have a confusing one. I am on a general permit which i was granted in 2023, its valid till 2025. I however came to Ireland in 2018 and since 2019 have been on 1g. I will complete my 5 years in Ireland this December, can i apply for my stamp 4 then? I know 1g is counted as reckon-able residence.

Thank you. Based on my knowledge and experience, you should apply for your Stamp 4 first and then apply for her visa renewal, as her visa decision is based on your visa status.

Hi, sorry to hear about it. CSEP is valid only for 2 years, next step is to apply for Stamp 4. His employer needs to give him a Verification of service letter for visa renewal. Or else how can he even work for them. He can use that letter and a recent payslip to apply for Stamp 4.

Hi, sorry to hear about it. As mentioned in the video, online renewal is only for Dublin residents. You need to call INIS office in your city or county to take appointment for this application. Carry a physical debit card for payment.
