The image of Mable letting go of the shutoff button and trusting in Stan ended up being a major symbol for the fans trusting in the writers. This was the crossroads of the show and all we could do was watch as everything unfolded.

Remember when Stan held a funny, narcissistic funeral for his wax double. Now think about what was really going on having a twin brother missing 30 years. Stan was actually holding a funeral for his brother way back in season 1!

Remember how Stan did not like using the magic word in Boss Mabel? He actually said it to her during the countdown. Probably one of the reasons why Mabel didn’t press that button

This episode contains a shocking revelation about Stan that re-contextualises everything we thought we knew about him. 7:47 - *“Hot Belgian Waffles! Wait, I'm alone… I can swear **_for real! SON OF A-”_* That's right! We just found out that Grunkle Stan _censors himself_ around the kids. That means the Stan we've seen all summer, the one we thought we knew, was actually the _toned-down, kid-friendly_ version! That's insane! Oh, and apparently he has a brother, or something.

When Mabel writes on the window that the band several times is overrated in order to make that lumberjack mad is actually very impressive because she would’ve had to have written it backwards for the guy to read it. Super impressive

And now you know why he was so weird around his wax twin, it reminded him of his lost twin brother! 😢

I trusted Stan from the moment I saw the picture. He didn't have to have it down there. It serves no purpose in a nefarious double life. It's only there because he cares for them. Maybe that's foolish. But I'd rather trust than not trust.

I’ve said this several times before on here, but the writing on this “kid’s show” is so fantastic, and I really like seeing new people be amazed by it, too.

this episode came out when i was 11 (almost 10 years ago) and Mabel letting go and floating into the air still gives me goosebumps😭

You have officially reached the best episode of the show. When I tell you this episode broke the fandom, I would be lying, because it DESTROYED the fandom. Everyone's theories were put to the test, denied, the reconfirmed and then the episode ended and we had to wait 4 MONTHS for the next episode. There is so much to unpack in this episode, but one of the best things I will call out is that when everyone is fighting in the portal room Stan says please to try and convince Mabel. This is a fantastic callback to the season 1 episode Boss Mabel which is all about getting Stan to use manners. Just a fun detail everyone has noticed!

I think one of the main reasons Mabel trusts Stan is because he says please.

Counting Stan as Adult Supervision is an ... interesting choice...
