All the ones you mentioned are the ones I remember, but another for me would be Duncan McKenzie. Brilliant but flawed.

He got a mention earlier in the week from Keith Al and your both spot on what a talent Duncan was

huddy's accident when he was knocked down occurred long after his football career ended and frank worthington's best years were at leicester city although he did score that brilliant televised goal for bolton against ipswich with a fantastic gerald sinstadt commentary, 70s football was brilliant, i was a lad then and it truly was a golden age, i suppose the biggest maverick of all was the far less well known robin friday who never played higher than the old division 2 for cardiff city, he was a real nutter who apparently was blessed with incredible natural skills but did not apply himself at all and had a very stormy life off the park, long dead sadly, those players you talk about were all magnificent entertainers who got the crowd off their seats, dalglish was good but in my opinion not in the same class really as any of the mavericks and he was fortunate that he played in a very successful side, incidentally that QPR side of 1976 was brilliant and should have won the league but for a disastrous slip up in the third from last game at norwich, george best was the best though, a genius and you are absolutely right re giggs, not in the same class as bestie
