Are we on the cusp of an important social change - a new openness towards depression and mental health? The subject certainly seems to be talked about more than ever. Indeed, if you compare the newspaper mentions of "depression" in the last month, compared to the corresponding period in 2003, you see a more than three fold rise. And that's a period that doesn't cover the death of Robin Williams. But it's not just greater openness to the subject, it's great sensitivity.
