This has been one of my biggest dreams come true… Our whole roopu, our 2 beast leaders, our ohu, kaihaka, whanau, cooks, drivers, weavers, supporters, te haahi Morehu, everyone, you are all incredible man… straaaight up… I love our people… I love our Morehu… I love our reo… I love our culture… E mihi ana koutou

These people are not africans...but they have the same african spirit in their voice...powerfull vocal.

They have African ancestry, that’s why they are able to tap into that energy. This sound cannot be produced without it. The areas of Polynesia were settled by Africans, so they have the connection (spiritual and genetics, some more genetically tied than others) and culture, even though some are far removed in appearance.
