@@bellebourjois7952 I'm not a fan of him but Tight eyez was hella precise sometimes and sometimes he was not on the Beat at all so it's really difficult for someone who start watching him from this event particularly, you can watch his old battles against Nelson and Kefton and also against kefton in the call-out of fusion concept 2014. Those battles are 🔥🔥

I like bboys, my only issue is when they practically ignore the music. Neguin did a really good job of bboying to the music. Lilou did a pretty good job too and even killed it a couple of rounds.

I've tried several times breaking to different music than break beats. Controlling the move momentum when you're upsidedown to some really mainstream bubble gum beat is pretty hard. So i can't really blame them, but Neguin and Lilou actually danced here imo, they didn't just break. Most of their sets aren't their usual sets, these are about 90% freestyled (especially Neguin which just looked 100% freestyle), which was a breathe of fresh air to me. Actually surprised they still managed to hit basslines despite the music being waaay slower (bboy music is normally 120bpm upwards) than what they're used to. So to me, they did a really good job bboying to non-bboy music to show it to the crowd.

@@B.Scruby I don't blame them at all, it's just some bboys will just do their set and not try. I don't expect them to beatkill like other styles, but I like ones like Bboy Junior vs Tight Eyez, Tonio vs Larry, and Neguin in this event really sticking to the music for their moves and mixing in some smaller movement to catch the beat. That's why I said they did a good job in this event and my comment is moreso about bboys in general that go to hip hop events.

@@AuRevoirTune Edit: Btw, i can't really consider anything outside the elements (Graffiti, Beatbox/DJ, Rap and BBoy) to be Hip Hop. Imo this event isn't Hip Hop, but more of a huge and wonderful event that celebrates street dance.
