We are a local lawn and landscaping company based out of Freeburg IL. Family owned/operated and started from the ground up. My brother (Nic) and I (Alex) are doing our best to build a company we will be happy to work in. It has been an adventure and a struggle at times but I wouldn’t trade it for the world! We began our journey on youtube to document our company history and we would be happy to have you along for the ride! We have big dreams and have hardly scratched the surface of where we want to be.

The disadvantage of the Bobcat is their mount. On the others, the attachments have a common mount. I can rent Toro dingo attachments and use them on my Ditch Witch.

I have the SK1050 and I love not having to grease my Ditch Witch. But I do love the simplicity of tightening the tracks by injecting grease in the slack adjusters. They also give you a gauge to test the track tension.
@nickenslandscapingexcavating

The little MT bobcats have a huge but to adjust the track tension. Not grease able like the large bobcats. The nut is a pain in the rear. I would like the non grease able machine as well. Greasing the tracks on the bobcats is a pain. Apparently the new mt100 has a greaseless roller system for the tracks though

Haven't used Bobcat or Ditch Witch walk behind machines, but I can attest to the Dingo. If you can overlook its ridiculously cumbersome hand controls and its remarkable lack of power, it's truly a great machine. I'll be using picks and shovels before I rent another.

Great video, I love my mt52 and willing to upgrade to mt85 The only think I dont necessary like about the mt85 is that you can't really fit the standard attachment like dingo, ditch witch, vermeer and others. It's way harder to find good deals on bobcat attachments since it's easier to get the ones for dingo.

Funny thing is I was trying to buy a tx1000 narrow track last spring. Dealer let me demo one and when I went to sign on the line they came back and said it was not available and gave me the run around. Toro has had problems with the narrow track and it ended up wasting a bunch of my time. I confronted Toro about it at the gie last year and and never got a good answer from them. Went to Bobcat and bought a mt85 last spring and I dont know how I lived without it. Like you said I like the simple design. Its also the cheapest of the minis I priced and can run full size bobcat attachments.

We had a brand new mt85, the undercarriage was pretty rocked at 700 hours we switched gears and went to a Ditch Witch sk850 with counterweight, which makes it an sk1050. the undercarriage is far superior. those ridiculous grease fittings on the bobcat that sit in the dirt all day no matter how much grease you pump into those things it just spews out and dirt crams in there I wish I would have bought the ditch witch right off the bat.

I don't really get it, saw a new standon SK3000 I think it was, that weighed 7000 Lbs! And the cost of these is Darned HIGH. ASV with a Cab RT 25 (3700 Lbs) RT40 (4100 Lbs), RT50 (5200 Lbs) and will go more places but physically larger, and very similar costs. One thing a stand on will do that you can't with a cab is lift a huge log, get off and Slice off Logs.. a very appealing feature of stand ons. Old Fart here who likes a machine with cup holders and a seat w/air suspension.

I can understand the concern with the screen and greaseless bushings but the best thing to do when researching these machines (even better than demoing), is to get online and try to find any negative commentary that you can about the unit your looking at. With the 1050, you will not find any...anywhere. And that unit has been around for about 5 years now. I hope that you have a good experience with the Bobcat, but when you get your next one, Id highly suggest revisiting the 800 or 1050 and checking out the Vermeer 925 or CTX 100. They actually have the best track record in the field for durability. Not to mention the CTX and the 1050 have WAY more power. btw did they really quote you $39-$40k on the TX1000?

My experience with track loaders is limited. However, I will not that using my friends sk800 is a dream. For reference, i have some experience with kubota tractors, 1 kubota skid steer, nice and new, and a new holland tractor, ran 2 differnt bucket trucks. Of all these systems, my friends sk800, hands down has the smoothest hydraulics, and i love the 2 stick system for vehicle control. the single stick in the kubota didn't feel as smooth, and it was far easier to make gradual turns with individual controls rather than on one stick. Just my limited experience. Feel free to comment if yours has been different single vs combo stick vehicle control.

But for guys like me who have to drive 20 min minimum to the rental place then stand in there for 20 minutes before your ready to go then 20 minutes back to the job site and another hour later that day returning it. That’s 2 man hours per day per rental... For us only having a couple guys and really needing efficiency to be at 100% we needed to purchase

Bought back for $1600 . 10% buyback. Sometimes Ritchie Brothers Auction have machines. Usually higher hours. Price is more justifiable for entry level. Anyone that rented these are impressed. It depends on how theyre used. That's likely from constantly pushing the operating capacity to the limit doing tree work. Ive seen negligible wear on mine at the 300 hour mark. Either way, they cost about $15-$20 a piece and the only ones that you have to worry about much are the linkage on the attachment plate. Takes about 20 min to replace them all (compared to how much time and grease you spend daily on zerks?). I sold my Ditch Witch and now have a Vermeer CTX 100 with zerks all over it. Nice machine but I miss the greaseless bushings on the Ditch Witch. Its one of the best innovations in the mini skid market hands down.

I would think the larger stand on skid loaders would lift it no problem, idk about moving around all that much with a full pallet but believe you could atleast lift on or off a truck or trailer

I owned boxer 532dx. Loved it till I got sk1050. Now I love that. However the dump angle sucks so bad that I can't hardly get into some of my attachments if there on the trailer. Plate doesn't tip far enough. HUGE FLAW. Especially when dumping wet dirt over a dump trailer. Also bent both rear idle wheel axles and tore up the lugs. (have to keep them tight) my main hydro block that controls bucket leaks and the main tilt piston won't hold pressure any more. It's a great machine that blows the rest away with power but!!! Also dont like that the engine sides are open so if your running in brush watch out have almost jammed sticks and crap in there a few times.

Also to add I am around 1000 hours of super hard use. Greaseless Bushings still super tight.

First off your pricing is wrong on the toro TX1000. New they are $28000. Secondly you did not get into much about the dingo or the ditch witch. Also,if you own the bobcat,you need to buy cat attachments, where as all others are universal,making it easier to find used attachments. Toros come with kevlar tracks,maybe that's why they are thinner? Idk? But I've used all 3 machines,and I love the dingo,especially the speed and smoothness of the machine. How much did bobcat pay you for this video?LOL..You are just used to an inferior product. Just my opinion.
