Masterful grooming, here. I hate when groomers try to rush and start shaving helter-skelter lines all over the dog and then have to correct it all, or not! (As when they run out of time!) If they are disorganized and rushed, the dog suffers. They start taking shortcuts, get out of sorts, and often- times the dog ends up looking sloppy and the clients aren't pleased. Also, I love that she keeps her table as tidy as possible, all the way through the grooming. I've always been annoyed when the groomer tries to SLOG through a huge pile of clippings while she's trying to groom the feet! Keep your work area clean and neat, people! She takes pride in every aspect of the job, and that means a happy, beautiful dog is the end result. Great job, Tammy Siert!

First of all great video. Even during the times you had to move into camera focus for the sake of the dogs safety and to prevent mistakes you did a fantastic job explaining what you were doing. I am just a novice groomer forced to learn because of the pandemic and have your video bookmarked for reference. Fantastic video. Excellent job! My question: What size comb attachment did you put over the 30 blade? I am using the Andis AGC 2 speed corded and use the Snap-on combs from Andis. Would I use the 1 inch comb for the body? Thank you

Dear Kitty, Thank you for the amazing video. As a am a amateur groomer, I am spending quite a while when I need to wash and groom my Poodles. My question is, how much time doen a full groom of a standard Poodle take you including the washing and clipping?

Hi Tammy, Great video, can you tell me where my husband & I can go to an Expo such as the one where you are. We have a beautiful standard & I'd love to have access to all the wonderful supplys to keep her looking her best. We live in Fruitport, Michigan, its close to Grand Rapids, Mi. Thank you, Gail Hope to hear back from you 4-6-19. P.S. I have always taken her to a groomer, but feel I could do it myself. !

Beautiful! I only wish people wouldn't just automatically call Standard Poodles DOODLE this, doodle that. Although Doodles are also beautiful and smart, and I have 3 shihtzu-Yorkie mixes, so no offense intended, but, a standard poodle is a purebred and not off-labeled as a "Designer Dog", only to charge certain persons a phenomenal amount for a mutt. "A rose by any other name is still a rose 🌹 " ~ not to be insulting, I love all dogs, but I disagree with "breeders" charging phenomenal fees for mixed breeds because they call them "designer" & ignorant persons fall for it.

That Poodle has a beautiful coat but why are the ears shaved? I think they look better with long hair on the ears when they have a nice coat like that

She is doing a German Trim on the dog. The trim is supposed to have shaved ears.

Felt so bad the poor dog had to stand so long. Most standards hate standing too long they prefer to sit or lay down.

I have a couple standards and if I would take that long they would know it and would be ready to jump down, lol, I would never shave ears on mine, just don't look right to me

Poodles are trained from puppies to stand a long time. Especially show poodles standing doesn't bother them really.
