When you're faced with a moral dilemma, do you stand strong in your beliefs or compromise under pressure? In this message, we learn from Daniel 1 what it looks like to stand firm for your faith.
__
We live in a world that’s ever-changing with beliefs that come and go, which has left Christianity more watered down than ever before. In this series, we’re walking through stories from the book of Daniel to see what it looks like to stand firm in a fallen world. When opposition strikes, will you continue to trust God and stand up for what’s true?

We need to stop valuing our existence in this world and start valuing our integrity in the Word.

When I read Daniel, there was one part of that book that really stuck with me - when the angel of the Lord appears to him and says how he is loved by God. I’ve always thought that for an angel to appear to someone and says how much they’re love by God meant he was REALLY loved. And I always thought, what could I do to be like Daniel? I really love when you mention that Daniel obeyed God’s word without even thinking if He was going to come through in that difficult situation. That obedience, surrender, and faith is part of it. I want to be like Daniel. It reminds of that passage when the Roman soldier says to Jesus that if He only says the word his servant would be cured and the Word says Jesus was impressed by that man’s faith. Loved this service. Thanks, Porch team! “Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:39‬ ‭NIV‬

Such a powerful, relevant, truthfilled message. Its refreshing to see this type of message coming out of the pulpit today. Occasionally we find that the prominent messages of today preach a sermon where scripture is snipped and clipped in order to avoid making anyone uncomfortable. The idea of being a Christian has been redefined in order to make it more inclusive. The standards God laid out have been softened in order to attract more people. This message stands in the face of that idea. Blessed by it!
