Norm turns to the band saw to help form the mahogany frame for his full-length standing mirror. Some delicate work with a router gives a soft edge and an elegant look to the piece.

The stand of our similar mirror fell apart (not the most expensive - I.e. cheap). I’ve saved the mirror. I now have a guide to build a new stand. Priceless - thank you for bringing the show back to life.

I met Norm at the Taladega 500 in 2007. I was in the Air Force and was there as a VIP. I was a Carpenter in the AF. It was a great conversation.

Tape on the outside corners of the arch glue up. If you put the outside edges end to end as close together as possible. Tape them together. Then glue the joints and roll it all together. The tape on the outside edge will provide a ton of clamping force on the corners. Works great for boxes and picture frames too. Example: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oZlplaeV3MvYfKc.html
