This is the sort of racing I used to enjoy at Tongham, many years ago. The object was to win a race and get the trophy, where it didn't matter if the car picked up dents and scrapes. Although modern banger racing is 'fast and furious', with lots of excitement, the object seems to be 'win by destroying the opposition', rather than win by skillful driving.
