Stanford team uses 3D scannning tech to preserve art and artifacts

Over the past two years, the group in charge of digitization efforts at the University Libraries has been piloting 3D scanning technology in order to preserve Stanford’s materials, such as animal bones, archaeological artifacts and other objects, and to make them more readily accessible to students, faculty, staff and scholars across the world.
