The Juju effect.
@49erLA5 ай бұрын
Juju is just on another level especially as a freshman. People just need to realize they are witnessing a generational player that could one day be the best Women's basketball player of all time. By the time she gets to the WNBA she's going to be Miss Jordan 😂

JuJu Watkins has been outstanding, no doubt about that. But there is a long way between point A and point B and point C on your projected timeline. At this time, it is not even clear that Watkins is freshman of the year over Hannah Hidalgo.

@@49erLA By “it” I assume you mean freshman of the year. There are still games left in the scheduled season, not to mention conference and NCAA tournaments. One game does not a season make.

@@RichardIILionheart I don't know if you check the stats but she's averaging 27 pts a game as a freshman second in the nation only to Katlin Clarke. And just dropped 51 on the #4 team. It's February already she's not going to slow down. And Freshman of the year is based on Regular season accomplishments not tournaments. I mean what, you think shes just going to fall off a cliff or something? She just dropped 29pts today in a W..

@@49erLA First, I think you are wrong about the voting for player of the year (and I expect freshman of the year) which you say is based on the regular season excluding tournaments. The voting deadline for the Naismith Award, for example, ends after the NCAA tournament has begun but before the Final Four. But either way, it is not essential to my underlying point. Second, your response seems to be what one might expect of JuJu's publicist. Yes, JuJu is averaging 27.3 points per game through today. That is a very high number, even higher than the 26.6 points per game Caitlin Clark (whose name you misspelled) averaged for her full freshman season, including tournaments. Watkins' shooting percentages thus far are 43/35/84, good but far from outstanding. Hidalgo's comparable numbers are 24.8 points per game on better shooting (49/39/78). Further comparisons for Watkins and Hidalgo: rebounds (6.9 vs 6.4), assists (3.4 vs 5.7), and steals (2.7 vs 5.3). I am not saying who will be named freshman of the year, just that it is not nearly as open-and-shut as you make it out to be.

Standford was the more physical team. The difference was you had one VERY good player, usually HOT. Watkins was in "The Zone" If Stanford played USC 10 times, they would win 7

Juju is better than the whole Stanford team combined is what this game showed. You must have been watching women’s gymnastics

Uhhhhh why are there so many Stanford fans in denial lol! You think these teams play multiple times during march madness? You lose you’re done. Take the L? Don’t whine

@@forwork2601 Lets not get crazy. JuJu is a very good player. Maybe the 2nd best women college player in the country. She is NOT averaging 51 per game. Stanford was just unlucky to catch her on a HOT night. And she was Red Hot !!!

Stanford should have won this game and is in my opinion the better team. Doesn't matter how many points one player scores when the other opposing players are adding little to that total. USC had at least two of their taller players on the bench with five fouls. Down the stretch, Stanford largely failed in getting the ball into their post players. Play through Brink and Iriafen.

Bro 🛑 😂😂 USC has a generational player on there team. JuJu is a freshman, Her game is fckn insane and if you really understood the game of basketball you would understand you're just witnessing greatness. She dropped 32 on Ohio State her 1st College game of the year
