Stanley Cook Set - Hack #3 - Handle Extension

The handle on the Stanley Cook Set can get quite hot. This is a tutorial on how to bushcraft a great handle extension using basic tools that you would generally have with you in the wilderness such as a saw and a knife. It could easily be done with a Swiss Army Knife or even a multi-tool. It requires no modifications to the pot itself other than a little crimping of the sliding metal piece that locks in the handle.

Great Idea! BTW, I just made the fork and spoon that you designed that threads onto any pencil sized stick. Another terrific hack. I just drop them into the Stanley pot along with a fuel can and a tiny stove. The fork ended up being attached well enough that I feel I could use it as a frog or fish gig if I needed to. I sharpened the tines to use them for that, at least. We'll see.

A sharpie could come in handy in the woods, ya never know. I haven't seen this exact hack but a similar one a few years ago, his was more of a fixed handle but I like this type because it's easy to put on and take off. What I like about these videos of yours is they are short and to the point without a lot not so exciting footage, just the important stuff. Thanks for sharing.

You should do a video on how to get the sout off the outside of pots and pans after they have been on the camp fire. You know, dish soap on the outside of the pot before you use it. Works great for me.

I love mine I have 2 that I've had for a long while. I do wish they would come out with a 2.0 version though. It really needs a flat bottom for a lot of stoves to work better. I understand the tapered corner is for ease of cleaning but I think I'd compromise that.
