Wow. Never seen a No. 8 in the flesh, much less a Bedrock. That's a real beauty.

One thing I've noticed is that it helps a lot to take all the metal parts and soak it in a bucket of food-grade mineral oil for a few days. Voila! No rust.

So the levercap logo is actually supposed to be painted? I've never seen one that way. That sure turned out amazing! I'm so glad your channel is up and running again!

Wow, I have refurbished a few planes in my time: an old Stanley No. 7 and a 4 1/2, as well as a Miller Falls equivalent of the No.3, but they never looked as beautiful as these. Nice work.

SO nice, Great job and I really like how you broke it all down and explained all of your methods. You've learned some effective ways to get it done. Hope you don't mind if I steal a few and use on some of my old Stanley's

Good video, I did a similar plane some 3-4 years ago, performed flawlessly by the end but I thought since I'm keeping it, to change the blade set with a brand new Veritas. what a difference, WOW! It takes sub thousand of an inch shavings with ease... Thanks for this video.

Nice. Watched several of your videos. Why spray lacquer rather than shellac?

I recently acquired a No.8 at a flea market. Can you tell me what is the difference between a #8 and a #608?

Nice job, as usual. I live in Denmark; but; whenever I see a nice (Stanley) no. 8, or 608, like here, the (US) retailer doesn't ship to Denmark or Europe for that matter. I am aware of the tax wall, but I am willing to offer the cost. Can you recommend, or do you know anybody "who's not afraid of Virginia woolf"?
