This is a hike to cover the first half of the trail from Teepee Creek to Tom Miner basin. I will have to park my car over at the Tom Miner basin campground to do the second half of the hike. This part of the hike is still about 14.5 miles and over 3,000 vertical feet. All the wildflowers are out in God's beautiful creation right now so everywhere that you hike is amazing and beautiful.

Your blood must be thin as water to handle such drastic vertical increase! Thanks for taking me along.

I have also ridden this trail on horseback, and most trails in Yellowstone by horseback. I love watching Stan's videos, makes me feel like I am there with him.

Thanks for bringing us along, Stan. I have ridden horseback most of what you hiked. I rode up from Daly Creek trailhead up the sky rim trail a little past where you stopped. There is one gnarly spot on the trail where I dismounted and led my horse across. Last summer I did the ride up from the Tom Miner Basin campground. It is hard to find more beautiful country.

Great hike and love the scenery. Interesting to see the Coyote at 24:52. That Coyote looked like it could smell/hear you, but wasn't sure where you were exactly with that brush coverage. Thanks for sharing - always appreciate your hike footage.

That looked a common puffball mushroom. They are edible at that stage and quite tasty. Thanks for sharing you hikes thru God's amazing creations!

It was nice meeting and talking to you and your brother. You guys must have done a long hike down into that area because you were still not back when I finished my hike and came by. It was starting to get hot out and the biting flies were starting to come out.

Such an amazing gem of a place!! I still remember Yellowstone as a kid camping, and that was way back in the 60's when bears would wander through the campground. Hope to one day get back and explore! Bruce and Otis

They still do wonder through. I showed some hikers grizzly bear tracks from a grizzly that walk through their campground. Right by their tent. They didn’t know what to think. They were very surprised that a grizzly was unknowingly that close to them while they were sleeping.

I believe that is known as the (Calvatia gigantea ) puffball mushroom, commonly found in meadows. I really enjoyed your video, thank you!

Yes a puffball, and almost all, if not all, are edible, but are very uniquely flavoured, so maybe not too favourable to your palate!

Good morning Stan! 🌄 What a gorgeous day for a hike🏃! You get to breathe all that beautiful clean air, good for you! 🤗 Gee my friend, that Sky Rim Trail sure wouldn't be for me, oh no sir! I'am afraid of heights! The valley below sure is beautiful, there's so many different shades of green, it really reminded me of "Bonanza and the Ponderosa". Have you ever been stung by bees on any of your hikes? Do you bring something in case you do get stung? We're those Wolves at timestamp 24:55? I LOVE Wolves, they really get a bad wrap! Have you ever stayed overnight while on one of your hikes? Well my friend, I sincerely thank you for sharing this super video and for your time making this video, you are truly wonderful, thank you again, I really appreciate it! Your friend, Didi 👵 🖐

Hey Stan - what kind of camera do you use for your videos? I've been comparing the GoPro and DJI. Seems the DJI is best overall, but since your vidoe quality is always so awesome, I wanted to see what you're using to record your hikes. Thanks sir!
