GROUPER SEASON OPENER! *Jamaican Brown Stew* - Catch Clean and Cook

2 жыл бұрынIn this video we head out for opening grouper day on May 1st. We had the whole crew with us, but after a couple people got sea sick we dropped them off at the marina. We picked up a couple more people and headed back out. We managed one nice black grouper and some yellowtail snapper for dinner. Then we show you another trip a few days later where we catch a pair of really nice black grouper on the X3. Back at Bud n' Mary's Marina I fillet one of the groupers and we take it home to cook. Jamaican Mike comes over to "chef it up" as he says and makes a delicious brown stew!

The last time I went Black grouper fishing we caught 2-30 inch fish trolling the reefs off of Big Pine Key using diving plugs and reels with distance counters so we could keep the plugs just above the reef. It was a successful tactic.

Nick fillets a fish like this the same way I was taught. Not many people will leave the fillet attached at the tail when they skin it.
