Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.
I am an independent content creator and a fan of the game, I am not paid by Cloud Imperium however I do accept ships from them to giveaway to my community but this will by no means influence my opinion or what I say and believe about the project.

Edgeware pants, available nearly everywhere, have pockets to hold up to 4 KµSCU. Doing what you are, in street/work clothes, you should shop for pocket space. The Indvest, for example, hold 10k micro scu. I did this type of thing, unintentionally, during 3.18. Due to crashes (learning to fly), 30ks, freezes, and various other issues (only once to pirates), I found myself with 9 aUEC. All I had was a Cutty Black, a flight suit and helmet. It was fun.

11:55 Something I've noticed this patch is loot boxes seem to be pretty scarce. I've lived out of loot boxes for a very long time, but I'm struggling right now, I can barely even stock up for my liquid diet that keeps me going.

As far as I can tell, if a ship has random series of letters and numbers, the ship is abandoned and they are no longer on the server. If somebody still 'owns' the ship - the chevron will display their name.

Hands down the #1 gameplay I am seeking in the verse. Was waiting for a new vid to drop. I have tried my hand at off gridding since I found you a few weeks ago and bought a Cutter Rambler for my off grid/hunting ship, but then found out the PTV doesn't have a scanner, so bought an old school Cutter without the cool livery you have in this vid to fit an STV in. I sure hope CIG fleshes out this lifestyle loop. Would be nice to have a small camp that doesn't dissapear on server swaps. Been hunting Copian as my past time using the Cutter / STV combo. The only problems have beent he random NPC hyperbolic cutty blacks that appear and take out my ship. This shouldn't be a thing if you ask me. I love the landscapes and living outside of the populated areas. We just need more support for this gameplay. Please Please keep making videos "Off Grid". It's the only gameplay that makes sense to old guys like me. It would be the very reason I would leave this dirtball and explore the verse in my lifetime if possible. Love your content brother. Keep this series going!

The problem is...this loop should already in the game after 10+ years of development...and yes you will be blown up by randoms for no reason. Think about it, currently NO meaningful gameplay loops. No aliens for their alien ships...nothing but and inventory management system thats tedious beyond measure.

The new loot screen is cute but looting still takes a long time and is very cumbersome. They also need to look at reducing the sizes of some armor so that it can fit into backpacks etc

Those areas are really susceptible to crashes and surface glitches. They are unfortunately some of the most unstable areas, which is really unfortunate for your game play. But I really do appreciate the effort and gameplay.

@@JButterZJas long as you have a bed in your ship you lay down then look for the interaction tag, right click while holding F to open the personal interaction wheel and select logout. Will save your place so when you log back in you will wake up i. Your ship where you left off

I wish the PU started you out this way. Just a small ship on the planet surface. Work your way up looting sites til you can afford a place in a station or big city. Build up your ship from scratch.. etc.

Yes, this would be more progressive than beginning directly in an impressive city. Moreover, many new players have a bad impression of the game because they begin directly in a CPU intensive place that is very complex to navigate.

So many ships mid air, due to all the new crash to desktops, which they are currently working on fixing on the test servers. Yeah the boxes with 3 bullets on them, those are the once you want to find, they can have armour and guns, even subscriber editions too ;) You missed the "food box" under the table in the first greenhouse :)

@@festersmith8352 I don’t think space has to be empty. Imagine going to a planet and meeting new aliens or a robust space city/country or landing on a planet controlled by ai. Landing on a planet with primitive life, where they either see you as a threat or god. But sadly no I’ve only seen starfield try to tap into stuff like that. Also what would you like to see in hetis system?

There is nothing stopping CIG from doing what you say, but time. You know that thing everyone keeps complaining about. The feature creep from players is on another level, considering the original plan was something Starfield is today.

did you claim your ship after the crash?, i ask because i was was living out of my corsair for 2 weeks straight, hadn't lost it once and was storing all my loot onboard, yesterday the game crashed out to desktop and when i logged back in i was at a station with my ship in a "unknown " location so i would have to claim it. however i decided that i wasn't going to claim it, turned off the game and went off for a few hours to do stuff, when i came back i checked Asop and lo and behold my corsair is retrievable at station and has all my stuff on board.

Crash protection has been in for a while and works pretty well. You just have to be patient.

I have a cutter and im thinking about starting a CCU, so far the only reasonable upgrade i can think of is going for the avenger. The CCU site says to directly buy a prospector and thats ayy out of anyones budget.

The Cutter might be a little more versatile. But I don't have any experience with either of those two ships. The Titan will fight better. In truth, the best bang for you buck is the Cutlass Black. Its capable of a lot, at a decent level. Rover mining is very doable with it.

Great serie. One of the best thing in SC is the planet tech. They absolutely must create new activities on planets to make players use it. Animals is the way to go. The game clearly needs more crafting though as we see with the currently useless animals items. For a better experience they absolutely needs to populate the planets with NPC vehicles or ships working or travelling between outposts. And some possibility of NPC interactions at least to have lore informations and basic procedural mission instead of the impersonal mobi application.

I heard they may wipe aUEC in the point 2 patch because of all the cargo duping. So might be worth not selling things too much yet or at least buy things before the update.
