One thing that doesn't get touched upon often enough is the aspects of being alien. We know they look differently and their ships are quite different, but what I think that is telling (when considering which alien race we will play) is how different each race is psychologically. Vanduul are the most different. Banu and Xian are different. But Tevarians are a race that we can easily relate to, plus their culture was mostly scrubbed away. When, years from now when they allow us to play an alien, it is going to start with the Tevarians.

Official lore is that the Tevarin did the scrubbing all by themselves, because they were so very embarrassed by their defeat, they also "left" their homeworld. Thus, the UEE needn't have to have any qualms about terraforming it. Nothing abnormal here, really. :D

I really want a Tevarin (NPC) co-pilot as my Chewbacca. I hope we can customise our NPC hirelings, rather than having to take whoever is available at whatever LZ in which we find ourselves. Having the same AI assistant, with the traits and skills with which you have become familiar, knowing what can or can’t be delegated and where they can be the most useful. … maybe one day WE can play as an alien.

Man, if nothing else CGI can make ships better than anyone else out there. And the attention to detail and things they are putting in for these alien races is awesome. Also love that the lore covers such a great variety and isn't going for any overall trope like humans either being bad or good or humans being weak or super strong. Every species has good and bad points both to their stories and who they are and to their tech. Can't wait until this all gets in game!

In 2.6 we used to get attacked by Vanduul, but they removed them. I remember seeing that ship for the first time in an encounter. I was like WTF. I hope in the future we can encounter some aliens in ships we have never seen or know about.

I did not know there were rumors of plans to play as aliens, it certainly opens new game play possibilities. I am most excited for The BMM, I Like the idea of larping as a roving burrito and weapons salesman.

Wondering if Squadron 42 Episode 1 ends on Operation: Mandrake at the Battle of Oberon? Wouldn't make sense if it doesn't seeing how Episode 2: Behind Enemy Lines takes place during the current timeline of the PU. CiG might be hiding Vega and Oberon systems along with Odin being the known system we'll get to play in the single player mode.

You have to buy a (starter) ship in order to buy the game, you can earn every other ship in game afterwards however.

2:34 This graphic makes no sense. Youre telling em MIRAI is as high desing as Origin. And that RSI thats notorious for being unable to not make ships sleek even when they are meant for industrial purposes (Arrastra) is more industrial than High design?. And then GATAC the manufacturer with one ship thats sold not on functionality, but on high end design and luxury feel is also on the Industrial side. Das crazy bro

THE fact that humans who have been spacefaring for less than a thousand years at this point and the xian who have been spacefaring for 20,000+ years are near equals proves that humans are the best species banu have been spacefaring since at least 1924 and we surpased them. humans are OP and the best species.
