Just a heads up, you can enable Staggered Fire mode which makes the weapons in a group fire one after the other, rather than together. Makes the scorpious even more like an Xwing, and makes cannons much more rapid fire. Under Keybindings - Vehicle Weapons

hey Olli, you'll want to avoid mixing weapons with different projectile speeds (like repeaters and canons), as your targeting system will only calculate your pip for one speed, meaning half of your weapons are missing when trying to aim at moving targets. Also, Grim Hex has a terminal to pay off your CS1, it's the only station where you can actually land and pay it without issues.

The terminal he was looking for was down the one hallway he didn't check across from the clothing store. * Well he found it after the fact. I was yelling "No, don't leave.. check one more time!"

I don’t suggest using both cannons and repeaters. The repeaters shots travel 2x as fast. So the cannons will be shooting behind the moving target. Never mix the weapon types

@Ollie, the reason sometimes you get a crime stat while doing a bounty mission is that sometimes the missions in the "Personal" tab is malicious and with intent of ilegal bounty that's why you should be careful in reading the lore of that mission. The missions on the "General" tab are all lawful.

Just a tip, set a key binding for adjusting your power. If you set your power 100% to weapons you won't need to let them recharge nearly as much, if at all. It will make that ship even more of a power house. You can also route power to shields for when you are accelerating away from enemies, lets them recharge quicker as well as engines if you want the afterburner to recharge quicker. The power distribution system is good, I have found it handy, but it only affects the recharge rates and not actually how powerful the weapons are. Best part is, in multi-crew ships your co-pilot can take care of power distribution for you. I haven't figured out how to over power weapons and engines etc. (I think that has something to do with overclocking?).

10:30 - I think you could've hit close range targets better if you still had the gimballed weapons.

Moon bases with pads can repair and resupply your ship. Shubin mining on Daymar, and the research facilities on Cellin and Yela are good examples.

Yeah, I've also been tap strafing with a HOTAS setup myself. I hadn't considered a HOSAS setup but I'd need to invest. You also immediately ran into the reason I never use ballistics.

There i enough people who will cry about every single new vehicle that its OP or useless. 16:40 you can move your camera by holding F4 in 3th person then use arrows and page up and down. 39:40 but they dont, they always strafe a bit to avoid crashes, if there is a crash its usually if you are way to fast or if you keep aiming at the enemy until to late by equalling his strafing turning into him.

You should upgrade the missiles. The Tempest missiles have a low lock range compared to the rest. If you like cross-section then get the strikeforce 2 but I recommend the Electromagnetic Dominator 2's. I find the NPC's have a harder time breaking the EM lock. I have the same issue with missiles. I have to add them back in the weapons menu. Its like they become unmounted.

Hot tip you can rearm and repair at any landing pad. Even the ones on moons at outposts

Yela navigation with asteroid belt: First go to OM1 or OM2 (at the planet's poles), then go to target in asteroid belt - including Grim Hex. I promise you'll love the results.

Grab someone to be your gunner. Being able to focus 9n your main targets while a second person softens up other targets is so useful.

If you use alt+K to change into landing mode without the gear coming out it makes this ships weapons so much better.

Hey Olli! If VKB have reached out to you, you should check out their Omni-Throttle adaptor for your left stick, it basically cants it 45 degrees and makes it feel more like a throttle than a second flight stick while retainining the sticks 6dof which I've found really helpful in Star Citizen.

To fix the missile bug you gotta go into the vehicle load out and manually equip the missiles in each rack. It's a pain but it's the only thing I've found that works consistently.

I never fly directly into the asteroid field lengthwise. I angle up and fly above it to the bounty location, and force the bounty to come to me through the field. Many times the escorts die in the field on the way to intercept me. Either way, you won't be dodging rocks as they can be deadlier than the bounty.

Congratulations on the VKB's I recommend the Omni Adapter for your "OFFHAND" With the many options that the "EVO" has, you can convert it to a control lever with a "fixed" throttle grip....! The old ones I use unfortunately don't have an adjustable clutch and ALWAYS jump into the "zero" position OH I forgot...!!! Have fun assembling ;)

1 friendly advice: Play around more with coupled vs de-coupled mode. You could do much faster quickturns. If you look how fast the enemy AI cutlasses turned around so fast facing you head on. You could do that too if in the moment of turn, you deactivate coupled mode. And after you turned around, re-activate it. Similar to a handbreak turn in the car.

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but the PORT and STARBOARD wingtip lights are wrong (green right, red left - the right isn't green), and if CIG is reading this message, could you also reduce the amount of flashing light glare when in 3rd person mode in the Arrow :) at night it blinds my eyeballs! Also tip someone taught me in the Navy was Left = Port, Port = A red wine, hence red light, also Port has 4 letters, Left has 4 letters.

I do not own a Scorpius myself, but my org has a few and I have been fortunate enough to be on the delivery end of the turret. Man does that thing shred, even at base weapons, one we gave ball. weapons and it was a ship eater. i love this fighter and def want to get one myself one day

The Scorpius is my favorite fighter outside of the blade.

I noticed you prefer the Atlas quantum drive for small ships. While it's nice to have the added fuel economy (Scorprius), it's not a great performer. The VK-00 is fast, but it's not "quick"... and it's the biggest fuel hog for its size. I put Sceptre drives on all of my small ships, because they're the quickest drive for their size, reasonable range, and they are stealthy. HUR L5 and HUR L4 are my gas stations when I use a small ship to travel longer distances. Just a thought

Yeah Scorpius without Gimbals is not the loadout of my choice. Due to the "Dead point" in the middle of the ship I believe you're better off with 4 gimbled S2 than 4 static S3 in this case. All my other ships though have no Gimbals installed

There are crime stat machines at port olisar you looked everywhere but the place for them :D

Go with either laser cannons or with ballistic cannons. use those along side staggered fire mode and it should be very deadly. although ballistics will still have a severe ammo issue at the moment. Also your missiles may be outright missing from the slot on the ship configuration menu.

I think they need to update the crime mechanics. Kill on sight for light crime seems a bit much.

To fix the missing weapons and missiles just use the ship manager in your mobiglass to equip them again. Or buy more to replace the missing ones if they are completely gone.

It seems like people think that Star Wars has a patent on the letter X, but that's basically where the similarities end in my opinion. Other than them both being the same kind of spaceship. I guess the weapon and engine placement is similar, but it just makes sense. I think the ship is unique enough to not be considered derivative. After so many decades of scifi space ships, some of them are going to have similar features. Everything is derivative. If we wanted totally 100% original ideas every time, we would never get anywhere. You have to build off of what you are inspired by.

You only need to take out the mission target to complete a bounty. If you just enjoy killing the other enemies around feel free to do so, but ensure you pick up the call to arms contract under mercenary. This contract pays you a little bonus each time you kill someone who is marked as an enemy or who has cs.

I was messing with it last night. It seemed like folding in the wings brought the convergence point of the lasers closer to the ship. Probably not something you want to do in atmosphere though.

Some time ago, I found a way of loading 40 missiles onto my Cutlass. ;-)

If you go gatling, get the Behring AD* series. LOTS of extra ammo. And when I just checked, they're not available for the scorpius.

Olli when U die with crime stat spawn at Grim Hex U can pay fine at terminal on Habs level top of stairs.

You don't really want to mix weapon fire velocities too much i.e. laser repeaters mixed with ballistic gattling guns. If it's a multicrew ship and they won't all be fired by the same person, it's not an issue. But when you're dogfighting in PVP/PVE, you will basically only be able to accurately hit your target with all weapons if you are shooting at them while they are not moving very dynamically. Half of your shots will probably miss with your current setup. This is true, though to a slightly lesser degree, when your weapons are gimbled. Also, you only have to take out the primary bounty target in order to complete the mission successfully. Just FYI

When your ship dont reload its missiles you store it and unload them all and then re fit them one at a time Good luck . it did the same with my scorpius too

small advice for PVE bounties: NEVER joust with the ships, meaning don't attack head on. They tend to not chicken out and just ram you. When approaching a ship, just strafe left or right, and maybe a little bit upwards or downwards. Come at angle to the NPC. That way you minimize potential ramming, and can evade a lot of their incoming fire. Then try to just strafe around the target, and adjust speed to stay within the pip zone. When I was renting the scorpius, I did it with the default gimballed S2 repeaters, and they were enough to take down Group VHRT bounties without a lot of damage to my ship

Which cannons and repeaters did you upgrade to, and where did you get them? Also, where did you get you power, shield, cooler, and Atlas Quantum?

And you kinda need the same weapon velocities unless youre going to rotate weapon groups for whatever reason otherwise youll only be hitting shots with one weapon groups/velocites. If youre firing all the weapons with different velocites youre just over heating yourself or running out if energy faster.

Mixing repeaters and canons isnt very beneficial due tto the difference in cadency and travel speed. The best to do with scorpius is 4 canons S3, and putting them on staggerred + power offset towards guns. Then its actually good, otherwise its FAR from overrpowered.
