I mean even though I liked it it kind of sucks that Battle Network 4 was like the highest selling of the battle networks because that game turned off a lot of newcomers who adamantly refuse to play the other game that came before it because they thought it was horrible and then the two games after that and Battle Network 5 and 6 were really good but especially with all the people that started with four not wanting to play it after 4 and how bad it was kind of destroyed the series and I didn't even know strikeforce was a thing until way into the 3DS era and I never got it a try and twice just recently got StarForce 3 with a double sale with double team DS when I ordered it off Amazon I would love for them to make a new series for the modern consoles it doesn't even need to be you know a strike force for or a battle Network 7 but something like this would be beautiful

ZX and Star Force deserve better

Hopefully if the sales for the Battle Network Legacy Collection are good it might convince Capcom to try again

I’ve known about it for years. It still kills me inside after the masterpiece that was SF3.

Out of all the cancelled Megaman projects. Star Force 4 is the one I have the most mixed feelings about. The whole thing of Lan's descendant appearing, makes me think that they would have delved deeper into what happened to Net Navis when PETs started to go out of fashion... On the other hand, Geo becoming an outlaw hacker... It makes it feel like going out of their way to null Star Force 3's wonderful ending.

@film fan Uh, you kinda... CANT! The game has been long since cancelled! Closest thing to it is a in-development fangame that takes some elements of what little was revealed about the game.

@@kuraux56s59 megaman breaks my heart with cancelled sequels man, legends 3, zx 3, x9, starforce 4, etc. We don't have any confirmations for some of these but cmon, most of these series ended up in cliffhangers, hopefully the franchise gets revived a bit more with the collections

I have far more faith in the staff of Super Robot Wars delivering proper conclusion to each unfinished Megaman saga, as they have done with tons of unfinished series in the past. As unlikely as the possibility of any Megaman series in a console SRW game is.

@@DESTRAKON Solo got more fleshed out and i like how much the devs gave to him besides trying link him to mu but also give him a reason why he has a disdain for bonds so much.

I think geo had the best character development among every MegaMan protagonist

Plus the game isn't overly reliant on the dual screen to adapt to a single screen Switch, in fact Switch DO have touch sensibility if they want to keep things like the Wave Command function (which in SF2 is kinda like legal Action Replay with the bonkers options you get xD)

Nah, 2 is the worst. At best 7/10. Though, the story was pretty bad. Okay at best. And the gameplay, they tried to force certain builds, but it didn’t work with the transformations properly. So, you were better off going into Tribe King, but you needed other data or games to achieve this. However, doable on Emulator. It was more of a side game if anything, but the ending was great as usual. The music was so-so as well. Star Force 1, each character was built up. It gets into why they are lonely, how the EM beings were able to take over them, using those desires. It shows how Geo grows from shutting himself out, into someone learning to open up and trust others. From end to end, it was an emotionally driven story. The Battle System, while it was in its early stages. Did present three forms, while you’d still need other versions or data. This here did not have the same restrictions like SF 2, including making countering far better. SF 2, there was a random chance to get an LFB. Which was just a bad choice. On top of this, SF2, the way it was designed. The Ninja was the best one to use due to their dodge. Two had a lot of issues. --> Far Worse Story telling than 1 and 3. --> Nothing much really happens, as I said. It was like a side story. The most they established, is that the Mu empire was destroyed due to their mistrust. And due to the leader of the country Vega was lived under, it became her reason to try and set things in a new direction. Despite it being extreme. Nothing much really happens, and Solo didn't land well. He doesn't have much of a character to him, and kinda just appears. It has a few good moments, and one of those is the ending which did landed very good. Though overall? Nothing much happened. The character writing wasn't even gripping, it was very weak. --> Battle system was a downgrade from 1. It had basically what 1 had, but worse since LFB no longer triggers 100% on counter. Nothing was really added in, other than 3 new forms. Though, Ninja was the best to use. The others kinda just leaves themselves open to their own weakness. They also tried to force builds around your transformation, but it just doesn't work well. You're better off in Tribe King form, but you need the other versions or data for this. That or if you are on Emulator as said. --> Unlike 1 and 3 it was also a bit confusing at times. --> Final area of the game, you were forced to use the stylus in a time frame that just was not reasonable. The alert was so fast, that they didn't seem to think about how they were implementing this. Let alone those annoying patterns you had to inscribe into the walls. --> Last section of the last area, since you cannot save. You have to go through an annoying section just to get to the boss. Star Force 1 and 3, didn't have these issues. Star Force 3 may have had a 2 phase boss. Though, it wasn't bad. At least there wasn't an annoying section before the boss. Plus, in Star Force 3, it was when Geo accesses server Meteor G level 11, and becomes Black Ace or Red Joker for the first time story wise. It was an exciting transition into the last battle. Star Force 1 and 3 also did not have the annoying use of the Stylus in that situation like 2 did. --> Music was so-so. It didn't stand out like 1 and 3. The one in 1 and 3 really reflected the them of the type of story it was. In 2, it didn't, but it wasn't bad. Though, I will note, Shooting Star was great for Star Force 2. Star Force 3, Once again it starts to get back into the type of story telling Star Force 1 had, but still worse. Introducing more interesting characters like Ace, Tia, and Jack(arguably Jack is the worst, but okay). And it goes into the noise clusters, and how the weight Geo has to carry being Mega Man. Even getting into the losses he endured, and how he carried on Ace’s will in the end. It steadily builds into a powerful finale, with him taking to Black Ace or Red Joker for the final battle. Before this point though, the lead up was Kelvin’s past, and what he did after he was turned into an EM being. And ultimately how him and Mega was able to send Geo back home. They return after the end credits. To another point, the representation between the blue shooting star and red. The blue was Mega Man, the Red was Crimson Dragon. The music in this one was far better than 2. Specifically the normal battle theme, boss was so-so, but overall it was landed hard. And getting into the battle system, it is a hybrid of Battle Network(those games sucked badly). You get into sub chips and single use. Single use can be used to combine three chips if you want, or use it like that but you won’t be able to click another. Combining three chips is like Program Advance. The other is the support option, which adds on special actions for the next engage. And mid game, when you unlock noise forms, this massively opens up the strategies that can be used. Though, more importantly. You start to build your deck to support Black Ace or Red Joker form. This could have been handled better, due to elemental chips do not raise the gauge. Though, they can still be used effectively to link a good chain to quickly build up to 200% gauge. And when you enter into Server Meteor G level 11, turning into Black Ace or Red Joker. Your ability to heal is removed from what I can tell, but you gain extremely powerful chips. As well as either Super Speed from Black Ace, or slower heavier damage from Red Joker. The battle system was a dramatic improvement over 1 and 2’s own. On top of this, they returned LFB trigger to 100% on counter. Plus Black End Galaxy and the other exclusive skill, both have their own cinematic attacks. It was a well execution of the usual special attacks, but in a far better way.

Yeah it's a creative mechanic in a series chock full of 'em. But not dissimilar from the ones introduced in 4 and 5 with Dark Chips/Dark Megaman.

Plus rogue noise(in my personal opinion) is the coolest noise form, design wise. its worth it not having friends for that form.....and its even better looking(my opinion again) than red joker, not black ace though. The freedom strike look of black ace form is amazing

And it's one of the most powerful melee weapon in that game,and it's not event limited

@@sarthakarora3212 I believe he was mentioning and comparing *only* the recent X and Classic games to SF3 in particular that Star Force was pretty popular despite its niche appeal and can still give Capcom a boost in confidence to revive the series. Nothing about talking down on X and Classic. Just Star Force definitely has some pretty good appeal for a Mega Man series.

Although one thing straight out the bat they stablished with Geo + Omega compared to Lan + Megaman was the balance of "functional braincells". When binge-playing some of battle Network, I noticed how Lan is IRREDEEMABLY STUPID! Like holy shit that kid could read a dictionary and not get past the letter A xD Megaman.exe have to pretty much explain him how to BREATHE. Geo on the other hand is the actual genius, although emotionaly weak, where Omega-xis is hardheaded, he is no stupid either, being more expert in the EM stuff and lacking in human knowledge, so Geo and Omega fix each other's flaws perfectly! Without Megaman.Exe Lan wouldn't make past the front door of his house ¬¬

Having Lan's descendants a bad guy would make a pretty compelling story imo. Having a Hero's descendant turn into villain is something we never see in a megaman game(yeah we all know X was supposed to be the villain of Zero series but it was changed at the last moment of development so it doesn't count).

Funny part is humor word also revealed that solo is a huge fan of "burger simulator" so possibly..

According to the anime, the star force cards used all their powers and got destroyed when fighting Andromeda, so they didn't appear in tribe, as for the ooparts, maybe they disappeared after Subaru turned to tribe king and went back, along with the gate
