Level 43….what do your currently have for primary ship systems (what’s your reactor, shield, weapons, and engines)? And what’s the overall mass of your ship currently?

@@ShipTechnician I have the star eagle, an aurora Mark 1, and the razor leaf. I think the aurora mark 1 is best ship, class b, reactor 21, mass 641, shield 525, and jump 20LY, hull 675, fuel 1100, cargo 785, PAR 92 So I normally make my ships in New Atlantis but I think there’s a better planet with good parts? Not sure which planet is the best for ship parts. I prefer auto locking turrets, and I have saved 1million credits with ship design lvl 2, lvl 4 piloting. Update: I’m currently learning everything about ship building on your videos. My current goal is build a viable ship until I can build the endgame ship for extreme difficulty. I prefer speed and auto cannons. I built a halo pelican for funsies

In my opinion, your Star Eagle looks like the best ship you currently have. Take that, and if you haven’t yet, do the first two quests of the Vanguard quest line (complete the quest titled ‘Grunt Work’). This quest will unlock Vanguard ship parts, specifically the Vanguard Obliterator Autoprojectors, Vanguard Hellfire Autocannons, and the Vanguard Bulwark Shield. You can get these from the Ship Tech at the landing pad in New Atlantis. A couple of these parts are Class B, so you’ll also need to upgrade the Star Eagle’s reactor. At character level 43 and Starship Design Rank 2, I’d look at either the Class B 103DS Mag Inertial (which I believe unlocks at character level 44, so you’re close), or the Class C Fusor DC402 Reactor. The Fusor DC402 is higher mass, but higher power output, and so it’s the upgrade I’d choose at that stage. Those ship parts will be a significant upgrade. The Vanguard Weapons are some of the best in the entire game in terms of DPS output, even when not fully powered, as they are “Auto” versions, meaning they have a full magazine before needing to reload, and decimate most enemies in one magazine. The Vanguard Bulwark shield is top 5 in the game, possibly top 3 given its low mass. If you want a turret weapon, at level 43 look for the Disruptor 3320 Neutron Turret, you can get that from New Atlantis as well. It has one of the best Sustained DPS of any weapon. You won’t regret spending money on these weapons, or the shield. And the reactor is a necessary one in order to use these parts. Once you’re level 60, you can look to upgrade your reactor one last time, but this one should last you quite a while. The following guide video on the Star Eagle covers most of those upgrades I mentioned, if you want something to watch: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/odJgjcKZucCsmaM.html Edit: fully equip as many of each weapon as you can. 6 of each of the Vanguard weapons, and 4 of the Disruptor 3320 Neutron Turret. Even if you have to under-power them, make sure you equip as many as possible to maximize damage output.

@@ShipTechnician wow…this not only pointed me the right direction. You made it super easy to follow and understand. I spent hours trying to figure out the ship building mechanics during the games release and you have explain it in way that made so much sense. The ship building, piloting and space fights mechanics side of the game that has hours of gameplay that most players have yet to touch.
