I forgot where I've read it, but it goes something like this... If you want to be promoted, let the people who can promote you bring you up to their level. Never demand that you belong up there. If you do, those same people that have the power to elevate you, can knock you down a few pegs. And then the people "down there" will mock you and more viciously than the "up there" people will, if they're even thinking about you. And I love how you don't have a diva attitude. It's unfortunate that Sherri still struggles with Imposter Syndrome after all that she has accomplished/overcome in her life. She deserves this and more. It can be awkward to receive accolades and also fear inducing that you could lose it all at anytime...however, live in the moment, appreciate your blessings, know your worth, and keep moving forward!
