Ask your friend if they think Star of the Seas will end up having a little bit more gross tonnage than the ICON? I know there is not supposed to be much difference but I figure there will probably be a little

How long do they usually work on the ships before they head back out?

Construction is quite long process. I found info, that Icon's keel was laid down in April 2022. Departure from Turku was in November 2023.
