‼️What would y’all want added/changed about the characters?

I don’t really like the new character there could be more body types like more curvy, skinnier😅 also even the biggest horses look like ponies under us

I love the effort sso is making to make us all enjoy the game, but I don’t think we’re ready for an update like this. If they haven’t worked on all body types, then they shouldve delayed this update. Movements can be improved as well. I hope they consider these features

i wish that there were more skintone options. i’m mixed and it’s always super difficult to find a close enough skintone that matches mine and the “medium” one that i ended up going with doesn’t fit at all but my other options are either way too dark or too light. that’s also how i feel about the body types. there’s like 1 skinny body type and the rest are bigger which is totally fine but i wish there was a happy medium before the first and second option yk?

if starstable chooses to add more hair choices, i hope they make naturally textured hair. video games lack textured and curly/wavy hair that don’t look like heat styled

The character update I feel was long overdue, but this isn’t an update, it’s a wipe of the old characters, the old memories we made with them in the years. SSO has made me that these characters and animation are rushed. I would have rather waited another year for a better, more suited character. And the poor old horses now feel off, the whole game feels off. It’s becoming (I know everyone says this) a mobile game. This adds to how SSO is changing fast, and maybe not for the better. (Sorry for the rant)

Yes I do want a 4ft tall character who’s legs could be wrapped up baguettes. 😌

They should’ve added skinnier body types too because I do not look like that irl so it’s kind of disappointing.

Just knowing star stable's history I'm already predicting in about 2-3 years most of the glitches on the updated characters will probably be corrected by that point and the character will feel more complete. At the end of the day, I agree with you that the game really needed this update. Personally, I wish they would've spent more time on it before releasing it because I still think this was too soon but that's just my opinion.

I’m kinda skinner, and the skinniest isn’t my size and the face shapes make me look like I’m older than and I am, I’m editing and adding more because I feel like it. The new characters are definitely works of art, they seem like people who made them really worked hard on them. But the piece of the project was to have more options for people to look like themselves. That I can see with some of the body types but they are not having skinner body types- along with skin tone too, many didn’t get one that matches them. I think that they probably will release more, but I hope that they add changeable features besides from the original. Like chooses to shape your curves regardless of what body size, your height (possibly, to some extent).

I personally don’t like how chubby the cheeks are for every face shape. I enjoy choosing the most petite option for my female models so I went with the smallest body option and went to change to the slimmest face; however all of the faces have such fuller cheeks and it juxtaposes with the small body. Idk it’s a small nit pick, and maybe I just need a different haircut to cast an illusion of slimness (free player moment 😔), but I like it a lot more then the previous models :p they just need more expressions when out in the world and emoting (they look so cute emoting when you’re changing your appearance); also I like how the character holds the reigns more forward when the horse goes to gallop, it’s a nice touch :)

I didn’t know that there was a update coming so when I played it I was so confused The new characters are cute but they look kinda off- they need more body types until they fix this I would like my old character back please 😭

i kinda miss the old characters...

i was honestly thinking they were going to have sliders for the bodies.. my biggest problem as a player who loves having fun outfits is that the baggy clothes do NOT fit as baggy on any body. the clothes fitting the way they fit the older characters was my biggest concern for this update and i am sad that none of my outfits work anymore.

i don’t really like the new model.the jump they always get left behind and lean way to far forward.the gallop has practically no leg movement.i think the trot need more leg movements. although it was needed i think they probably should have worked on it longer to fix bugs and movements.

Honestly I think that there are no many people that choose chubby character :D Everyone just choose the most skinny one, even if they are little bit chubby in real life. Its just hypocritical from people.

I like them. Been playing since 2016 and I feel a little sad the old models are gone but star stable is improving and trying to fit modern standers. People will start to like them. they just came out and will take some time to learn to like. 🥺🍃🍃🌸🌸 I think they were needed to be updated. There are new graphics, the horses too are new so our model looked outdated. They were just released today, and SSO did this purposely so they can update tomorrow., All the bugs that were happening today. I just think we have to keep an open mind! 🌸🌸🌱🌱🌿

I like change when it benefits a game. In this case updated character models were overdue. However, I find it entirely unacceptable for the update to be released in the state it is in. I would expect small bugs or glitches that don’t happen except in rare circumstances, however things like the wonky stirrups, some of the more unfortunate riding animations, among other things, should not be what we are seeing. I’m so exhausted with game companies in general pushing unfinished content on the player base. Also the new models look weirdly large compared to the horses and npcs? I’m not talking about body weight or shape, I mean its like they were scaled up a little too much and it just keeps catching my eyes unpleasantly. I’m not a person who needs their online character to look like me irl. In fact I prefer they not. I just want to make a cute character that I like looking at and I feel like my options for that were very lacking. I could never get a good handle on what the face shapes actually looked like because the character in the creator wouldn’t stop making faces and stretching the features weirdly. Imo they have a good base for the update but it was incredibly unprofessional to release it as it is.

Despite me playing for more than 7 years (i lost count), i was never really that attached to my character, i actually always wanted her to be updated, especially when the soulriders did. I stopped playing story quests like 2-3 years ago because i wanted to wait for the mc update, as the old one wouldn't fit and would ruin the experience for me. That being said, i'm still quite disappointed. While i got used to the faces and began liking them, i wish they either made the clothes fit every body type separately (as they promised, but at this point sso has a history of not keeping promises) because right now it looks way bigger on them, or they actually added more skinny options before releasing it. I find it unfair that we got 5 body types on the large side and only one ''skinny'' option that isn't all that skinny and my BDD really struggles with that.

I do like the changes that were made, sure it's not perfect yet, but I feel that for an online game that's constantly moving forward, they will have lots of time to add in additions to character customization. That being said, I do understand that others might not like the changes, or feel like there should be more variations (understandably so), but people have been harassing sso about character updates for years now, and now that they have finally made the big effort to make the update a lot of people are complaining about it. I understand it, but I also feel like it's spitting on all of the work that was put into it thus far, and it makes me sad. We needed the update, the old characters we outdated and did not compare at all to the new horses we keep getting. And hopefully, now that they have the initial release done, glitch fixes and more character variations will be soon to follow. Thanks for another great video!

I wish they didn’t make us so tall, it feels like we don’t any of the horses. And I do think they could have given us the choice of our own features instead of just one faces and a at more body types, however I do think the hair is really nice and I think the animations for riding look better, the walk looks odd though

Look, they aren’t as bad in game as I thought they’d be but I’m still confused why they didnt do body type sliders like most games have nowadays if they wanted people to be able to have they’re body type. Like a slider for the shoulders/bust, a slider for the waist, and a slider for the legs/butt

i looove them!! sure, they need some adjustments but i dont get all the hate. i know some people liked them because they were nostalgic but if we are being honest they looked crusty af

i really wished they had polished the update to almost perfection they could have taken a whole 6 months just to finish and polish the animations and the very obvious bugs

I really like this update a lot more than I thought I would. At first, I thought we were going to look more like oversized toddlers like in the very first beta test. I think they fixed some stuff and actually took some of our criticism, thankfully even though it's not much of it. I do really like the character update part. I made myself look more masculine since that's how I feel most of the time. Of course, there are many bugs or things I don't like with this update as well. My game kept and still keeps crashing, the characters half slid in/out of the saddle as well as the saddle half morphing into my horse, not being able to chat, see chat or see anyone at all, some texture issues, our feet aren't in the stirrups, and the fact we look WAY too big for even the shires! I don't like how they made changes to the Arabians, Pintabians, and Appaloosas since all are some of my favorite breeds in the entire game. This update did feel rushed. Overall, decent update but it's really buggy. Once all the bugs, things are fixed and more stuff is added, I'll say it was a perfect update. So not 100 percent liking it, but it wasn't the worst and needed.

I can understand why people are upset... but personally i do like them. Yes there is lag of bodytypes, etc. but it can still be added in future so i see no problem with that. I think we can all agree that the new models fit wayyy better into the game than the old ones and that the animations are way better. Honestly I think the biggest problem about this is the community. Guys... need to let go of the past and start looking into the future. Ik it's a childrens game, but as someone who played since 2012... I think I can say I had my fair share of changes of this game and I still like it... I think it needs it. While I do still think sso should word on ONE BIG design change update instead of million small ones, we have to be happy about what we get.

I don't love the new characters, but I do like them. They are a much MUCH needed update. Sure, the animations can be improved (they are working on them), and a couple more body types would be nice, but they are so much better than the old that its astounding. We get updated and nice hairstyles, more eye colors, more skin tones, more body types, and we finally make some sort of facial animation (we actually blink now). SSO has confirmed that they are still working on them, so I have high hopes. Keep in mind that our characters are supposed to be young (pre-teen to early teens) to follow the story. Remember this is a story driven game. Also, the appaloosa and arabian glitches aren't permanent and are being fixed as I type.

I will just say that I’m so happy that the character has somewhat of a two-point now yes it may be buggy but that two-point is sooooo much better than before

I hate to be a Debbie downer but the 30sc to change your character is actually 30sc to change just your eyebrows not your entire body i think. Because when i went to change my body it said 60sc but changed the cost every time i changed what i wanted change. I don’t know for sure though please don’t take this offensively!❤

I definitely think the update was much needed. I just wish there was a little more variation in body type rather than just body size. I found myself not finding a character with my body type as I’m petite on top and thicker/stronger legs. I ended up going with the muscular type because that was the closest match, but oh man I definitely don’t have ripped arms like that lol

I do not understand why they didn't give us body sliders, there are many bugs e.g. the rider sliding out of the saddle, the foot not being in the stirrups. It is my belief that a company worth MILLIONS, can not half-ass things like this. There was no rush at this point we've already waited for 2 years, a while longer would not have changed anything for us and they would have had time to implement our feedback…

I think it was kinda nice of star stable to add different body shapes but the fact that it went SKINNY skinny wide WIDE I think that was a dumb thing I’m just saying also the skin tones are kinda weird it’s either your super light skin super orange or super dark that’s not enough difference in skin I know this is not a customize your character game but there should have been more options other than that I love the new animation (ps I needed to rant about this😂 sorry)

i think they are really positive and a good update however it is not put together nice enough for how much they hyped it up…the rear and jump you are flying out of the saddle…and the feet aren’t in the stirrups but that’s not the biggest deal. we should also have skinnier and curvy body styles like everyone else is saying. they are kind of just rushing and trying to push stuff out…i am older now and i used to play so often but i log on every once and while just to spend star coins since i have spent the money for lifetime when i was young…i logged on after a year today because i saw the sso vids on my YT safe to say it was a disappointment but that just my opinion 😂❤

There so much more physics they can add to this game and characters to make it better though like why is the hair so stiff still lol

I'm all for adding larger body types but this size body or larger on the ponies, haflinger, gotland, etc, would be way too large in sso, and especially in real life should not be encouraged.
