Judgement Rites was always my favorite of the two

I got this game as part of Interplay's 10 Year Anthology in 1993. I remember enjoying it quite a lot but there were so many other good games on that CD that I didn't finish the (un-voiced) Star Trek 25th Anniversary game. Fun, but lots of reading.

Interplay made some good Star Trek games. I played this back in the 90s. When I got my iphone 3gs back in 2011, I jailbroke it to see if I could get dos/windows on it and play this game, I did but the phone wasn't powerful enough to do all the emulation and play this game smoothly. I never tried to do it on my iphone 4.

I went back and played 25th Anniversary and Judgement Rites. It's still a wonderful game. I really wish there were more TOS games that continued this genre. Although I did like DS9: Harbinger, most other Star Trek games were not good and went downhill. I got the Star Trek online lifetime membership pre-order and played it for a bit, but it got boring quickly and it's been years since I logged in. It doesn't seem that we will get another Star Trek game this entertaining any time soon.

This was such a great game. I played it all the way through when it came out.

On the music front, it *is* actually very faithful to the source material too. The in-game music are all .mid renditions of actual motifs and themes from episodes of the show, with particular focus on the music heard in episodes like Amok Time, The Corbomite Maneuver, and The Doomsday Machine. The use of this music too enhances the overall authenticity of the game.

I enjoy the space battles, I mainly play it for those now.

When you play a space battle Judgement Rites, try the L key. It was a Russian invention.

Great review. I never saw this game back in the 90s. Being a fan of The Original series i'm definitely going to go and play this one now. Saw it on GOG.

The first mission puzzle is so easy.. why are people always confused. You are told. The computer is waiting for a total eclipse to happen. What does that mean? It means the perfect alignment of three objects. So align the sliders in the middle and boom bang done.

Hi, a friend had the floppy pc version, it was great, later on when the cd + actors sound was released i let it go, but about 6 months later found it in the bargain bin so i purchased it, a year or 2 later i purchased judgement rights which is basically a continuation with bug fixes. I did get sick of looking up the galaxy map, and many people had scanned the map and uploaded to bbs, then cracks came out so any star was the right one, To win just go all the way with diplomacy The only playable issue was one senario where you are on a asteroid and you need a pin number for the door, but it is in binary or trinary ( if that is a word )

I remember playing this as a kid, it was probably the floppy version. I really liked it, but was never able to beat one of the later space fights, so I never finished it. I think the graphics were excellent for the time.

The sequel is actually much better, and the original is amazing
