The Q episodes of Star Trek are some of my favorites across the franchise. John de Lancie brings so much unpredictable chaotic feeling to the character. Plus, thank you guys for mentioning The Squire of Gothos! I love that one! God be with you out there everybody. ✝️ :)

I just love Q. He has that complex character in him that tells people at first "a carefree dork" but the next moment can be the most severe person in the room. Teaching when needed, yet makes sure to have fun with whoever he is with even at his own expense.

@@nosotrosloslobosestamosreg4115 The stories were very good, but the “woke shit” was at the core of the series ideas and most of its plots. The whole point was that the people in the future were focused on progressive ideals of solidarity, tolerance, learning about and respecting other cultures, inclusivity, progress, feminism, anti-racism, “globalism” and overcoming the valuing of the hoarding of material goods - a longwinded way to say their society overcame capitalism (a topic about which NG even quoted Karl Marx directly). The episodes were mostly very preachy about those topics and even casting decisions were made to push these ideas. This was not subtext - the series was openly doing this and the creators have spoken at length about it. And that was part of what made it good - being unapologetic about its utopian values.
