Finale predictions: the Progenitors resurrect Kweijan, Book and Burnham get back together, the Breen are pushed aside with barely an inconvenience, nobody dies and when something bad actually happens it gets reversed within minutes. There will be a few cop out deaths but at the end everybody is smiling incessantly at each other. Saru gets married and Burnham is being offered a promotion which she declines. The series end with a Burnham monologue about the discovery of he final frontier. I have always criticised the last few seasons for having zero consequences and therefore having no actual stakes and the finale will undo the only bad thing that actually happened in the last few seasons namely the destruction of Kweijan.

Feels that's a certainty. Else why was Booker presented with those plants? First time I think everyone has become aware of the outcome. Kinda poor writing

The season seems very formulaic….. get to the next clue yada yada. I do think the progenitors will show up with a message like they did in TNG but I also think that their tech would be limited because it’s several billion years old. If it is like a new genesis device than the only difference would be the ability to reanimate dead organisms - which by the 32nd century shouldn’t they have that ability already? I mean they revived more dead people in TNG than they have in all of Disco. Could the show have been better? Absolutely. But I love Star Trek and if I could sit thru Star Trek The Final Frontier, which was quite possibly the worst movie they ever made, Star Trek Discovery really doesn’t seem so bad.

L2 is located one million miles from Earth. As Webb orbits L2, the telescope stays in line with Earth as it travels around the Sun. L2 is a point where the gravitational influences of the Earth and Sun balance the centripetal force of a small object orbiting with them. So, methinks humanity is similarly now placed into a new position in life itself.

La Grange points are basically where gravity is cancelled out, in layman's terms. If you're static at a Lagrange point, you won't be falling towards either of the two bodies. Fun fact, the L3 point in the Phobos-Mars system is just 3km above Phobos' surface. And because gravity is so low on Phobos, you could kick a football up and it would remain hanging in the L3 point.

At the map @0:04 ,there are only 4 Lagrange points in the Earth/Sol system Are there usually 5 (with the 5th point opposite the earth in it's orbit)? IIRC, in the Mobile Suit Gundam series where space colonies are set up in the Earth/Moon system, there was 5 Lagrange points with the 5th Lagrange point opposite the moon in its orbit around the earth I wonder if that's because Earth has less mass compared to the Sun so there is no L5 point opposite the earth in its orbit (whereas in the Earth/Moon system the Moon's mass/gravity would result in a L5 Lagrange point opposite the moon in it orbit around the earth)

The characters are supposedly driving the ISS Enterpise back to Federation HQ. But I think it’s possible the actors got sick of being virtual unknown extras even though they were bridge crew on a Star Trek series for 5 seasons and took other acting gigs. I think we will see them back for the final episode where they did the pickup shoot to turn the season finale into a series finale. I’m more concerned about the lack of Saru.

By sarcasm, this show just gets better and better. Starters, the bridge crew had an entire scene together, with a male in the command chair. That's a milestone for this show. The Breen were once a fearsome foe for the federation, but the writes managed to reduce them to laughing stock, by letting a non Breen alien dictate how their culture should run. But not just any alien, a human female. But I think the best part was, when Berman cut the librarian off, because she and Discovery didn't have time to listen to her preaching and instructions. Lol this from a Captain and crew who sits around every episode crying, sharing their feelings, preaching to a new , much stronger life form on how they can't go about destroying planets and being respectful. I guess desecration of holy statues and trying to break into religious temples and destroying society's beliefs doesn't count as being respectful . Because only the mission counts.
