There are multiple moments throughout the show that I replay multiple times and my whole family gathers around to laugh at the sheer absurdity of the acting. My mom _hates_ sci fi, but even _she_ finds it comedic. I understand that everyone has their own tastes, but I truly believe he is objectively a very poor actor.

DS9 definitely had its fair share of weird moments. More than the other series. Maybe it was to balance the darker elements. You could easily do 3 more of these with DS9. Quark being "killed" in the Holosuite. Garak shows ways he can kill Quark to.. Quark.

Honestly the fact that DS9 still has those silly out-of-context moments despite it used to being one of the grittiest entries in the series helps make it work. It still has the charm of Golden Age Trek and never really got that lost in the sauce. Compare this to Modern Trek, where it's so far up its own ass in the grittiness it forgets to have that basic humanity and charm.
