Ironically, much of the inspiration behind Star Wars was indeed, westerns. The cantina, Mos Eisley, characters wearing pistols, gun belts, & holsters, etc.

I remember the bar scene in Star Wars, yet if would be so much better as a spaghetti western. Imagine Darth bursting through the Saloon doors and everyone running for cover. This movie should have been made.

I'd like to see a western that's uses the plot from Star Wars as closely as possible, within the technological limitations of the 19th century. The Millennium Falcon would be a stagecoach. X-wings and TIE fighters would be men on horseback.

Star Wars as a Swash Buckling movie seems almost too obvious. The Three Jedi-keteers: All for One and One for the Force: Luke is D'Artangnan, Han is Athos, Chewbacca is Porthos, and Lando is Aramis. Leia is Constance, Darth Vader is Rochefort, and the Emperor is Cardinal Richelieu. No good analogue for Milady de Winter.
