If I remember well EA give up on BF so Disney came and forced them to keep on the game or else they would take the ip from them. That’s what I like about Disney, if they messed up with some of their properties they’re gonna find a way to make it succeed or at least not suck at all

Correctus Chopper it’s not the best. Knights of the old republic, republic commandos, the original battlefronts, and empire at war are one of the best games for the franchise.

Personally I think that it’s good they’re gonna tone down the prequel stuff after this. The prequel content is way more prevalent than either of the other two eras. There needs to be a balance, and I would prefer if they tried to keep this game as a completely Star Wars game and not just a prequel based game with the occasional other eras.

But Im a GCW fan myself so its starting to get really annoying that we havnt seen any GCW stuff. Where is Scarif, Sullust, Jakku, or Bespin? Those maps were great in the first game. And we dont have anything like Capital Assault (Jakku would be perfect for that) I just wish they would add content in alternating phases. Clone>GCW>Sequel. Instead we got Sequel>Clone>Clone>Clone>Sequel

Truly incredible that this game is still being supported. This game made one hell of a 180 ever since its legendary backlash 2 years ago, now it's a beloved game, despite much of the gaming community refusing to see that.

Rose Supreme Rarely do you see developers or companies acknowledge their mistakes and make it right by the people. That’s why I think they should still sell the game at least over $30 so that they can’t use micro transactions as an excuse but still continuously make money from people just picking up the game. After all, to satisfy fans with a GOOD game is what all of this should be for anyway. I also think they picked the wrong time to try that shit because while everyone else was doing it, the controversy of micro transactions started to become mainstream that year too.

Panwow actually give it a chance. All the dlc is free. They took time to listen to consumers and realized they messed up and have went and fixed it. I don’t want it to be exactly like the original. Yes it was fun but I don’t pay for exact same game just because they updated the graphics. This is entirely on its own merit and separate and I love that. I’m glad they were able to completely change the game and make it better with updates. Overall, the added changes are good. The similarities to the old games are good. But with the new graphics and mechanics it’s even better. I would not what the exact same game as the old battlefronts even if they were fun. I would get bored real quick just like we all did as kids. Combat was simple and honestly not what we remember

Developers are much different than publishers. Publishers, ex: EA, focus too much on business and not for the fans. Developers, ex: DICE, care about making a game that players will enjoy and be a great game. What we need is to push for more developer control not publisher control. Battlefront 2 is alive thanks to DICE who are working hard to make the game that everyone wanted. It's DICE who needs all the thanks and respect they deserve. Don't mistake EA as the developers. They are suits and nothing more.

Grand Admiral Mitth'raw'nuruodo what, they stopped adding updates to battlefront 2015 in January 2017 to focus on this game. That game had deadlines and a season pass, and the servers are still live

Thank you sooo much for sticking with the game. Graphics wise, battlefront was amazing. Now that the core mechanics are fixed (lightsaber combat, new heroes, new maps, new game mode, no micro transactions, hell I even noticed brighter and more noticeable blaster bolts), I think I speak for a lot of us that we are great full! Co-op is without a doubt the best thing added to this game since launch. Having the ability to play against AI with other players in a fun mode, and make progression, is phenomenal. Please add more maps in the future, and maybe add more modes or elements to it instead of just straight up capturing command posts. I was very disappointed that this game was essentially just another causal multiplayer focused shooter with a Star Wars coat of paint. It’s nice that this update is finally offline focussed, wish it was like this way during launch.

Diaper Paralysis definitely agree, I’m a big fan of offline play and accessibility, especially in games like this where I don’t enjoy the casually focussed multiplayer. Plus it’s battlefront after all, it really should have a focus on offline play

Maybe when they add the prequel Jedi council members. Also, they literally had the easiest task in making this game. All they had to do was copy and paste the OG battlefront 2 and add maps, characters, and modes. That's it. And they couldn't even do that.

When this game came out it was a stinking piece of shit. First game that made me lose it. Deleted, never touched again. Until May 4th rolled up. What did they do? Turned it around. Amazing job devs.
