I wonder if our memory isn't as flawed as we think. Old TVs that this would have been played on were 480p at most. I think we were playing on such dogshit monitors that we couldn't see most of the messed up textures and low count pixel trouble we can see clearly on modern displays.

When modders find their way to push the limits of this game it's really insane. This game with 400 units on screen with the EGM mod doesn't break a sweat at all.

Battlebit Remastered has very large scale battles with 257 player lobbies. It’s pretty fun

I agree, but part of it comes down to the game engine. ARMA and Squad respective game engines are just trash. Like plain and simple. The ARMA community in particular puts up with the engine because ARMA doesn't really have much competition, but its literally always been trash. Even back with ARMA: Cold War Assault. The focus in those games have always been small scale skirmishes as well. Battlefront from the ground up was built for large scale battles. If you think the battles in Battlefront are large, then you should check out Star Wars The Clone Wars video game. Those battles were even larger and Pandemic Studios were inspired by that earlier game (that they also developed) when they made Battlefront 2004 and Battlefront II 2005. The thing is though, the AI for these games are very basic. They have very very basic commands. They have path finding set and simple behaviors to follow based off their role, but that's about it. ARMA in particular has much more advanced AI that is capable of things like flanking, suppressing, taking cover, etc. Stuff that Battlefront AI can't really do. What would really be amazing is something like Battlefront classic with ARMA AI on modern hardware.

This mod changes a lot of things Ye it does improve the AI. Making it so they attack at longer ranges Not really bc they’re unchanged

@@Commrade-DOGEno, they can’t, because for it tuskens need to destroy both teams, but when they defeat one team, another automatically wins.

Yea you can play this mod with Sereja’s map. Just so you know when playing with GCW you’ll face a bug where the wookiee is the only class you can play as on the rebels team. Also if the Sereja map you downloaded has a folder called stock sides use that to play Serejas maps with the EGM sides

@@juancarlosvillafaena7194 U can still play the sereja maps tho. Just replace the mission.lvl in the sereja map's installation with stock sides so u can play with the EGM sides on those maps
