It's hard to see but the clones do eat a clear and flavourless paste. I'll find the link if I can. Edit: it's been two weeks and I forgot about this comment but I couldn't find the video explaining what the clones were eating in episode II.

I just realised that the clones were literally using knives and forks, like honest to god knives and forks like you find at an IKEA on earth, that completely ruins my immersion now that I've noticed it
