To be fair, the Invisible Hand lost more than just that gun or that whole battery. She lost all of that on top of the magazine feeding that whole gun section. In other words that's a lot more damage then what the Guarlara took.

It's based from WW2 weapon tracers. In the original trilogy, good guys fire red bolts because US army tracers were red, bad guys fired green bolts because German army tracers were green. No idea where blue came from though, but my guess it's just a simple good v bad
