I liked the K Mart exclusives. Sadly they shut all the stores down around me before I could get the Scanning Crews, Ewoks etc. K mart had a 2 piece Cantina set with bar sections and 3 figures. The best was that they added in a Blue Snaggletooth. It was a body retool from Ponda Baba because it had the arm separating line feature. I snagged it (no Snaggletooth pun intended) because it was a sweet nod to the older blue hard to get Snaggletooth. Got Jodo Kast as well. There was a bomb Wal Mart set featuring two sections of the trash compactor that form a great scene when put together. The icing on the cake was a huge update to the dianoga. It too came one piece in each set and was pretty big fully assembled. Wal Mart also had a two piece Jabba band and dancers. Someone snagged most. I found I think the last one in the store on clearance for 89 cents. Yes, read that right, retro 80s clearance price for one of the sets. Talk about random. The box is beat up but i was able to cover the hefty clearance tag. I think a part 2 to this is due down the line, fun seeing all of these.

You are right, Junkman. I think Jodo Kast was pretending to be Boba Fett on that storyline. Btw, that Storm Commando and Gen. Weir 2 pack is AWESOME!

Getting exclusive stuff is easier to do nowadays since you can find just about any retailer online so you don’t have to waste gas going from store only to end up empty handed, but even online, you can miss out on things because something sells out within seconds before you even get a chance to place an order.

Joda Kast was a Boba Fett imposter there was a comic story about him many years ago, I think it was from the old Star Wars Galaxy magazine.

Kitik Keedkak is one of my favorite cantina alien figures. It blows my mind that they used to give us such deep cut figures.

Working at Target for so many years, I picked up soooo many exclusives.

I never got the only exclusive I wanted, which was the TIE Bomber from the 2002 POTJ line. Scalpers hoarded it up completely, and raised the prices that made it not worth it. IF Hasbro had made it classic white instead of dark blue-gray, then maybe I would have been willing to pay a little more for it.

I guess they came with so many battle droids, so you could army build them.

I have a ROTS K-Mart exclusive Jedi Temple Assault battle pack, along with a Death Star Imperial scanning crew also from K-Mart. Plus a lot of other exclusive from other stores as well Junkman

Ahh the days when I went to Walmart to buy Star Wars action figures. But if they where out I would go to Toy's RUS, and if they didn't have any thing good I would go to kb toys.

I had soooo many of the Walmart exclusives as a kid. 2006-2008 was around the time I had managed to convince my mom to use the spare bedroom as my personal display room. Every dollar I got was used to build my collection up. It was such a fun time in my life. All of them were sold off or given away long ago 😔

Great video! I would love to see you cover some of the vintage Universal Monsters figures. There are so many out there, it's hard to know which ones are actually vintage.

I'll say since its an army builder thats why there were so many battle droids.

we got the episode 1 figures with bonus battle droids in my part of Canada. I always thought it was a good idea.

My favorite exclusives are the white prototype Boba Fett from Ralph Mcquarrie.....I think that's the creators name.....the yellow and green mandalorian, I forget his name, but his figure is super articulated and one of the best figures I own.....but my favorite exclusive I own is my mail away Han solo in stormtrooper armor I got from Fruit loops back in the nineties......oh and the two pack clone commando and a rust brown super battle droid with attachable explosive magna mines.....I think it was the first star wars set to include accessories that make it look like a action scene.....like how they include blaster rifle blasts that connect to the end of their rifle to make it look like they are shooting or connect to a lightsaber to make it look like they are deflecting shots.....the newer Gijoes, Star wars, and even Megaconstrux , and transformers are all now doing the same......wish they had done it twenty years ago.......merry Xmas junkman .....and Russ. While not a figure per se, I think the best store exclusive that was made available was the AT-AT in vintage-style packaging for Toys R Us. I remember having to have both the ESB and ROTJ variants; the latter I drove to another city in my state just to get ahold of one! Sadly, I doubt Hasbro will ever make a toy on this scale again unless it's part of their Haslabs project.

Now all the exclusives end up at ollies😊😊😊As far as the comic 2pks go alot of them showed up at big lots.I know because i cleared out the shelf at a big lots.there was another guy that bought all the gi joe comic packs.

The exclusive video was very good and informative. I had no idea Walmart made the separation of the twins . This blew my mind. I always wanted the toy company to make a toy that had the separation. Do you know how many were produced? It had to be a low #. I stopped collecting in 2005. Plus I didn't have a Walmart close by. I lived one mile from Toys R us I did get the comm display reader that was for the store demonstration. So how many. Separation were made?
