Bill McBride first saw Star Wars when he was 6 years old, back in 1977, and even then, he knew exactly who his favorite character was: Darth Vader. Today, McBride lives in Washington, D.C., and works as a rocket scientist (really), but he’s best known for his Darth Vader collection, the largest in the world, with 63,000 different items. The obsessed "Star Wars" super fan has collected everything from vintage Darth Vader masks to Darth Vader-themed condoms.

I know you made this comment a year ago but he actually lost weight. There's a video of him and other people counting his Darth Vader collection for Guiness back in 2015 and you can see the difference between the two years.

I get where you're coming from, but for a collection that massive and for just 1 person who can't afford an actual glass-encased museum to house them all in, it's just not gonna happen man. He already has plenty of pride in going out and purchasing & collecting all 63,000+ unique items in the first place--that's already a ton of work and should be noted! :)

WILF classic cars sure, but this is a grown man hoarding toys. Look closely and you'll see he's got multiple ones that are all the same. 99% of this stuff is future landfill that is worthless to all but a handful of people who need a reality check.

Robert: Why are you here watching this then? Not that we care, but maybe ask yourself that. It is very sad to see you 'try' and put down this collector to feel good about yourself, but it didn't work. I would say jealousy is the root cause here. And just so you know, you can clearly see by his collection, that he has the premium figures that will only grow in worth overtime (hardly landfill).

He can do whatever he wants with his money, he's obviously earned it being a Rocket Scientist and being in good shape. As long as your passion doesn't take over your life and drastically change you for the worst, what's so bad about it? You have your own passions, he has is. Everyone does. Nothing wrong 'bout that.

Did you even hear what he had to share at the end of this video? "I think to be successful in anything you do, there is absolutely a level of deliberation & obsessiveness. You will never succeed in anything you do if you're not obsessive about what you do. One of the things I always promised myself about the process is, when the day comes that it doesn't make me happy or the passion is gone, or it just becomes any sense of a burden, that I would immediately stop. And really, at the end of the day, it's whether or not you have fun."
