Ten minutes of wookie dialogue is hard to follow. The movies gives them a few lines, with another character around so you can follow at least half the conversation. But three wookies alone? Nah. I think the two ewok movies had the same problem, you can't handle that much "jub-jub" straight.

For a kid of the 70's, the Hulk and Wonder Woman and the Bionic Man / Woman and Battlestar Galactica were all the rage, geared actually toward family entertainment, and for their time were taking the source material seriously. This was Adam West Batman level of bad. Which still stayed on the air and filled space, in the afternoon or after Saturday morning cartoons, and was entirely geared toward children... Even for practical effects, the Muppet Show was the superior show to a lot of this because it at least kept an even tone. Things that were explicitly children's entertainment were set in afternoon programming, and if you were staying up late to watch something with the family, it was meant to entertain the family. I remember almost not getting to watch it because my father was that put off by it. And he'd dragged us all out to the theaters and ungodly number of times to actually watch Star Wars, so he was a massive fan at the time. And now that I am an adult, I can actually explain that. As a kid? It struck me as not understanding that evening TV could be better than that. Had it properly been an early afternoon program, at the time, it would have been fine. Stupid, off the mark, but Adam West Batman level of fine.

I like how the controls for Lumpy’s holographic video table are actually two 70’s era cassette players mounted side by side. If you look carefully you can see the carry handles are present and pushed in flush on the ends. I also like how their computer appears to have a QWERTY keyboard.
