I like how this is meant to represent the beauty of Manaan, but you can hear there's something not right here. Like there's a hidden darkness. Things are not what they appear. Which I think is just stellar composition.

Same. I live and breath this game. KotOR II was superior in quality but it felt too dark. This game mixed light and dark in a way that felt truer to Star Wars.

@@FerreusDeus the second game ain't too dark (at least for me) but i feel like both games need an extension or something so we can play them longer instead of creating a new character over and over again (this is coming from someone who makes countless characters in the game just to relive the moments and try different playstyles so i get to say it)

@@DJRainbowToxic Everywhere you go in KotOR 2, the atmosphere is just thick with the dark side or that quiet, brooding, dangerous feel. While I greatly enjoy that feeling and believe it absolutely belongs in Star Wars... and even believe that you can indeed tell a story about just that aspect... a Star Wars story of the scale presented in the game were discussing, in my opinion, should have some environments that contrast the darkness.

It is unreal to experience this game for the first time as an adult. I can only imagine what kind of nostalgia I would have had if I had played this as a kid when it first came out. Still remarkable even now!

I played it and kotor 2 a lot when I was 10-12. I have a lot of nostalgia and manaan is my favorite planet. Hearing this again after a few years of not hearing it almost brought tears for me lol. Nostalgia turns this game into a representation of better times, in my eyes.

Just wanted to thank all of *you* , yes YOU. I’ve lived in possibly the best time to be alive, none the less such fantasy and wonder we are afforded, then on top of all that; Star Wars 😊 We have possibly witnessed the best of it in its prime, and it was beautiful as this classic theme from manaan. Even if things are different now, remember the amazing times we had and the magic of passing on the love for this to the younglings. We are truly blessed, and *you* were a part of it! We made that happen, and never forget that sense of adventure and childlike wonder, it’s what life’s all about! Force be with you, always ❤

The Manaan theme has a certain effect it puts on you, almost like a trance. Makes me feel at peace and that there’s nothing to worry about. Cheers to Kotor, may Disney make you canon.

@@andrewshepherd1633 The horror bit really fits, as this track also works as a kind of safe room soundtrack. After you escape from the dark, wet halls of the research lab, you can rest in a tranquil and sunny place.

I have a vivid memory of playing this game as a kid on multiple occasions, and the first time I got on manaan, I didn’t know what to do exactly because I was so little so I just walked around staring at the ocean and observing everyone and their schedules while listening to the music and it was all very peaceful. This was my favorite planet to explore and be on. Second favorite was taris, even though I spent most of my time on there because I didn’t know how to continue the story. When I got to my third favorite planet, dantoine, I was so excited because I could finally become a jedi after being very jealous of bastila for so long and I enjoyed the environment and music.

Honestly, I think this is the best track in terms of hub areas in Kotor. It is just so soothing and fits so well with the environment. God I wish they would port the original versions to modern consoles while we wait for the remake.
