I had almost the complete set of these Micro Machine playsets, but this is one of the few I was missing (along with the Slave 1, Star Destroyer, Tie Fighter Pilot's head, Yoda's and Jabba's head sets). I never knew this one existed. I would have loved this one as a kid because of all the different rooms! And I would have had a lot of fun dropping figures to their death through the weather vain hatch. :P

If I were to take a guess, the reason why these later sets lacked figures could be because Galoob was in financial trouble going into the late 1990's. The Star Wars license was also becoming expensive as George Lucas renegotiated a lot of contracts during the renaissance of 1995-1999 to keep a bigger piece of the pie for themselves and Galoob could have been one of them. It makes sense, to keep costs low, figures would have limited to 2-3, and if kids wanted those figures, they would have to by more transforming sets, or the mini figure collections.

Idk, this is kinda odd, but seeing this set, makes me miss playing on the Rogue Squadron games that were on the N64/Gamecube platforms, back in the day of those games. MAN I miss it....lol

+Layne Leonard I will review them ALL one day! My goal is to have my channel as a resource for info on these sets. Once I review them all I want to reenact scenes and even come up with videos where they are lumped in to categories and top 10 lists etc.

+Jurassic Matthew sealed in box you'd be lucky to find at $30. Over the last year I've seen them pretty consistent at $39.99 but they've only shown up a few times. Around 5 listings on eBay throughout the 1 year span. That's why I just jumped at this one even though there was no box. Sometimes you can find them at comic conventions at various vendors and if you play your cards right you can haggle on pricing but you have to get lucky.

Funny that this set didn't come with any villains. No Darth Vader, Boba Fett, or a Stormtrooper. Not even Luke Skywalker. I have to wonder WHY they would include a figure of Lando being choked (or Chewbacca choking him, for that matter). There's not much you can do with them - limited play value. The scene only lasted for a moment and it wasn't exactly a "climactic" part of the film. Luke Skywalker & Darth Vader figures would have been much better choices, even though they had already been released with earlier sets. All the earlier ones all came with 5 figures. I guess Galoob was trying to cut costs? ....Or perhaps they did it on purpose so you would buy MORE sets to get the figures you needed.

Yeah it is an awkward set that way isn't it. Too bad it's super hard to find too.
