This is reminding me of how the Jedi Corran Horn had a trick where he could triple the length of his lightsaber... except for that time he did it and accidentally shorted the whole thing out and nearly died because he had disarmed himself. 😂

I'm looking at when this came out, and I actually consider this a lovely snapshot of a moment in time: Back when we had the promise of new Star Wars, all we had was a teaser trailer, and the biggest complaint was the look of the bad guy's lightsaber. Lots of fun speculation and no bad plot twists to ruin our memories. This was good times, in January 2015.

Valdemar Butor I was born and grew up in USSR, but at least I don't live in Russia, what they have done in recent years was really surprising and unexpected, why would anyone want to return to 1990s or even earlier. It's insane! Perhaps the answer is - that's not what they want, but their leaders are too stupid to evaluate the consequences of their own actions. Besides, likely we should have expected it, like in Germany of 1920s and 1930s in current Russia revanchism is a strong driving force.

The music is the “Mars” movement from “The Planets”, by Gustav Holst. This symphony was a huge inspiration for John Williams when he composed the music for Star Wars.

Hilarious! I thought the light saber in the movie trailer was kind of ridiculous, especially considering that the metal part of the cross guard sticks out from the pommel, making it functionally useless. This is a great parody of that.

it isnt used as a hilt, it's an exaust vent where the unused energy from the blade goes out. Lightsaber form the trailer for SW VII is used as a regular lightsaber it just has more power (wihch im not sure what that exactly means,i mean should it cut trough ,,usaual''sabers or what :P ) trust me after endless disscussions on 9gag SW nerds finally came to an agreement :P

David Janjic I'm not hating on Star Wars because it's the in thing to do. I simply think that light saber looks ridiculous and this video parodies that perfectly. I know a lot of people are complaining about the black storm trouper, as they are all supposed to be clones of Jango Fett, or the R2D2 head playing soccer, but I really could care less about those things. That light saber just looks ridiculous, simple as that. And people didn't like the prequels because they were poorly written and directed and just shitty in general compared to the original series.
