Star Wars Month Brings Big Changes to Galaxy’s Edge!

Star Wars Month has arrived at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and with it comes a whole lot of new food (many items of which are inspired by the new Young Jedi Chronicles tv show), new merch (including Sith Wayfinders, new Lightsaber stands and a whole

What I find interesting is that a lot of these creatures and characters didn't really have names when the original movie came out. They didn't get named until later on after they became an icon. Salacious was just Jabba's pet slave creature. His species wasn't even named yet. You also had to stand in a massive line with costumed people just to get into the movie. It was insane.

I get your point But… puts nerd glasses on, salacious was named before the film came out by Phil Tippet and I believe the name was in the credits and also on the action figure timed to the films release.

I was born in '72, and my grandmother took me to see all three movies. We were able to get in to see them without any problems at all at the time of release. I don't recall there being extraordinarily long lines, and we didn't have to wear costumes to get in to see the movies. That might have been a New York or LA thing.

Kitra! I graduated from HIGH SCHOOL in 1983 😃 Talk about old. That’s me. I sat in the theater and watched Star Wars when it came out in 1977. It was the coolest movie I had ever seen. I saw it several times. It was so exciting. You are still a youngling, my dear. ❤️

We finally got to see Galaxy’s Edge on May 13th. Took our son to Disneyland for his 7th birthday which was May 14th. He had a blast and his favorite ride was Star Tours 😊

The new lightsaber stand, connector ring and Sith Wayfinder are good examples of reincorporating existing merch, particularly the kyber crystals, in a fun and imaginative way. If only the parks were willing to pay actors like Mark Hamill or Harrison Ford, or even professional sound-alikes such as Doug Lee to record voice clips for items like Luke Skywalker's compass. I could imagine Donald Glover recording Lando logs, perhaps to go with those Lando capes we're still waiting on, Disney? Anyway, I want a squeaking Elee now. ^ _ ^ That's adorable.

Great video! It let me see what was going to be there, after the Star Wars Nite events were done. I wanted to know what was new, since Disneyland celebrates Star Wars Day for a whole month. (LOVE IT). I will be there on Wednesday, and I can’t wait! I’m amazed you actually put a drink in your Grigu sipper. I wasn’t very impressed with it. Maybe I got a broken one, but mine didn’t stay shut. The head kept popping off mine. I saw a hinge, but it wasn’t attached to anything. It’s still cute though. I love the goodies you two bought. So cool! Well, keep on keepin on.

As I’m watching I’ve recently seen advertisement for the new Star Wars show the Acolyte and it’s a short clip of a Wookie Jedi and so when he said Kashyyyk and kyber crystals being on the planet I thought it was cool and interesting this is really fun to see other non humanoid species shown 💛

Soju is amazing! It’s so smooth and blends with whatever you mix with it. I was stationed in Korea for 1 1/2 years and had my fair share of kettles and towers. Soju and sweet tea in a mason jar is a must.

Just as a side note on time passing, I saw all the original Star wars movies first run in theaters. I was 13 when the first movie was released. I was the perfect age for the start of Star Wars.

@@OrdinaryAdventures We had never seen anything like it before. We would have my Mom drive me and my friends to the theater in the early afternoon, pay for the matinee and stay all day and watch it over and over. Before then, sci-fi was either cheesy or long and boring (2001 a Space Odyssey) for a 13 year old boy. As I remember the tickets were $3.75 to watch it over and over all day. When Empire Strikes Back came out, we were in line to see it on opening day. I was just as blown away by that movie as Star Wars. What a great time to be a kid! Empire is still one of my favorite movies to this day. My fave "modern" SW movie is Rogue One since it ties so well into the original series and has smart ass lines like the originals. Love your videos.
