"She was alive... I felt it!" "Padmé!" Vader shouted as he opened his eyes. He was in his meditation chamber aboard the Executor. His helmet had been removed and he reached a gloved hand toward his face. His fingers brushed over his scarred skin. Would Padmé have loved him like this? He shook his head and his arm fell back into his lap. He glimpsed something on the glove. It was wet. A tear? No. It couldn't be. Yet it was. Anger filled Vader. Anger toward himself. Why was he still attached? She was dead. He wasn't even Anakin anymore. But she would always be in his soul... If he even had one.

“Where is Padme? Is she safe? Is she alright?” “It seems in your anger you killed her.” “I? I couldn’t have. She was alive. I felt it!” Honestly, this is one of my favorite scenes in the franchise. Set aside the corny “noo” and this is one of the saddest and most well constructed scenes in all of Star Wars. Intercut Padme dying with Anakin “becoming” Darth Vader and the way James Earl Jones delivers these lines and it’s so beautifully sad.

The Across The Stars + The Force Theme part is an amazing combo!!! And then the Imperial March + Across the Stars at the end was heartbreaking

Have you heard The Tragedy of Darth Vader the strong? The Triumph of Anakin Skywalker the brave? He was a son who lost his mother. A husband who lost his wife. A man who lost his way. But a father who never lost his son. A slave to Watto A slave to the Jedi A slave to the Sith But freed by his son. A tragedy, yes it is. A sad story, it could be. But a happy ending, it deserves. This has to be one of my favorite pieces in all of Star Wars, and an underrated one at that. I'm so grateful to you for re-imagining these somewhat niche pieces. I love it. At Padme's funeral scene in Revenge of the Sith, when I saw what was between her hands, which is the gift little Anakin had given her to remember him in The Phantom Menace, that hit me hard...😢

What would the Star Wars franchise do without the one and only Padmé Amidala. She was an amazing character. May the force be with her... Always.

He rose with now artificial breaths. Strapped to the table. The hooded creature behind him approached slowly,carefully. “Lord Vader? Can you hear me?” It asked. The figure turned. “Yes master” Then he asked the question that would kill him that would finally totally and utterly destroy him. So with a uncertain voice and already knowing the answer the figure on the table asked. “Where is Padme? Is she safe? Is....is she alright?” The cowled creature behind him paused choosing his words carefully....... “It seems in your anger.......you killed her.....” The figure on the table struggled. The machines crunched the walls and supports bent under his rage. “No! I couldn’t have! She was alive I felt it!!!” He snaps his bonds like twigs and stumbles forth half in rage and half in agony as he screams out into the universe that took from him his soul.....for deep down no matter how hard he denied it he could no longer feel her. There was now nothing left but a hole where she used it be.... and so he screamed out into that cruel universe in pain and despair at what he had done. As the hooded figure behind him slowly allowed himself a smile. One of a crooked and vile creature as he saw his flawless manipulation take shape before his very eyes. And the figure screamed. “NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

I can totally imagine this playing over a scene of Luke and Leia visiting Padme’s grave after ROTJ

The original was already sad enough. You my friend, have brought a whole new level of intensity to this piece of art.

What’s sad is if you think of it and seen Clone Wars Padme would’ve made a hell of a chancellor.

This may be my favourite of your Star Wars pieces to date, the “across the stars” theme and “imperial march” makes it so much better and would add a connection with the movie as the music shows how her love for Anakin was her down fall and the “imperial march” shows that Anakin is now fully exposed to the dark side of the force, which helps tie in the original trilogy films to this exact moment. The other themes just create more emotion to a very emotional scene, Exquisite piece of music!

To me the funeral represents the deaths of both Padme & Anakin Skywalker.

I love the use of the music from the ending montage in Revenge of the Sith. That movie easily has the best music in all of Star Wars tbh. 10/10.

Darth Vader: “Now, you will suffer, Obi-wan!”

I have always felt the imperial march at the end of this track like it was what Padme felt at the end of her life. The imperial march starts low, but then it overcomes the funeral theme and finally there is only the march. Likewise, Padme keeps having hope travelling to Mustafar, but the more he talks with his husband, the more she is overcome by despair, by darth Vader. And finally, when he kills her, there remains only Vader, like the funeral theme ends and there remains only the imperial march. But I like very much that last "across the stars" phrase you put after the march, in the original track there isn't.

The saddest part of all for Anakin... not only he remembers how he have her a gift but the last thing he could ever remember the last look of her was when he force choked her to the point she fell.

Everyone say's that Anakin is the tragic victim in this story... but if you really think about it's Padme. She was lied to from the very beginning... and then used by Palpatine. Watching people around her die... not knowing the true story of their deceit. Her true love turned to the dark side... making her Darth Vader's wife for one horrific day. Then killed at the end... never getting the chance to know her twins. Truly sad... and also Padme died by simply slipping away. Anakin died roughly the same way... my theory is that they both gave up on life due to the over whelming sadness of their life's. Damn this score... it's bring me to tears!!!!!

I saw this and I was like, 'Oh, a Padme theme, yay!' and then I saw SAD and I was like DANG IT WHY IS EVERYTHING IN STAR WARS SAD T_T

She lost everything. The Republic she supported, the democracy she defended, the friends she cared for, the husband she loved so much. Knowing that it was her own fault in a way, because all of that was lost because Anakin wanted to keep her from dying, would have broken her even further. I'm not surprised she lost the will to live; she had nothing to live for.
